Tony Allen is no Posey, but he's no slouch on defense. Given that he's going to guard Kobe a lot, I think it's safe to say we have quite the upper hand at that position. But still, he's not a bad defender by any means and he hustles like crazy. He'll make Kobe work hard.
For the Christmas game (no G Wallace), I'd start Ariza, Kobe, Odom, Gasol, Bynum.
Ariza is quick and long enough to create trouble for Rondo. If Rondo wants to create switches with Pierce, Ariza on Pierce and Odom on Rondo is a far better alternative than any combo of Fisher/Sasha and Luke/Radman on those two. Odom switching onto KG is also much better than Radman/Luke. Bynum will definitely make a difference with his length under the basket and Pau is a handful even for KG. The Celtics might be forced to adjust.
We need a defensive PG. For years, I called for a PG that can defend the speedy guards. We got Farmar, and I've since hoped he would wake up and get it one day. He didn't, and now he's injured.

1- Philly
2- LAC
3- Golden State
4- Washington
5- Charlotte
Are likely the best fits possible.
And if we omit the Clips and the Warriors (same division) we have the following teams left to propose a deal to:
1) Philly
2) Washington
3) Charlotte
Out of those teams, G Wallace, for sure. The question is, would Larry Brown be content with not getting Odom if the Lakers ask for G Wallace? I doubt it. Also, given Radman's game and the length of Radman's contract, would Michael Jordan want Radmanovic on his team? I doubt it. He would probably rather keep G Wallace.
For us to get G Wallace, I think we would have to offer Odom. Odom for Wallace and Matt Carroll or Wallace and Raja Bell both work under the CBA with the hang-up on Raja Bell not being allowed to be traded yet. I don't know when he can be traded.
I'd take either one of those two deals at this point.
I wrote this post yesterday, but never posted it because I had to run out. Then Odom goes out and has a very focused game. He's been sick for two weeks. I guess he's back to game form, huh? Well, if he's going to play like that every game, might as well keep him.
