Re: Community Thread VIII
looking good Ty
anyway, with the weather it could be worse
the windchill has been at least -30F for like a day, the regular temp was -8F when i got off work last night. didn't get a lot of snow but the 40+ mph winds are blowing that crap around so thats bad
the radio is telling me that there is some other towns that have a snow emergency until thursday, which means NO cars on the road at all, until they get them cleared
so it could be worse

Yep, and that was before they opened the bar. So the Laker situation was probably still fresh on the mind.

Re: Community Thread VIII
I feel for you Ty. I was just lucky my Grad was in May. I was, however pretty pissed off through my cousin's wedding, lol.
Man, we're pretty lucky over here - a week of fairly warm - only -10 to -15 F these last few days. Been snowing pretty hard, though during the span.
That's rough. It doesn't get quite that cold over here. Usually there will just be a week of -40 to -50 around the end of January.. but other than that it's around -30.

Yeah, Alberta's weather isn't bad. I love Alberta and Edmonton. Huge Edmonton Eskimo fan.

Re: Community Thread VIII
Haha, that's funny. I dislike almost any sports team in Alberta - basically other than the UofA and GPRC teams and any other College/University teams my friends play on, lol. Don't like the Oilers or the Eskimos at all. I guess I was just a West Coast kid (Canucks, Lions, Lakers fan) that was born in Alberta, haha.
I do like the city of Edmonton, though.

Re: Community Thread VIII
Lol, speaking of the (British Columbia) Lions and the Edmonton Eskimos, any one else here happen to ever catch a Canadian Football League game on TV?
Get involved in it.. and it's much more exciting than the NFL, in my opinion.

Agreed! Oh man, I was pissed that Calgary kicked us out and went on to win it. I hate each and every Calgary team with a passion.
On a slightly different note.. Canadians are taking over the Community Thread!

it actually only got to -25F (-50F windchill) instead of the -30F it says
for reference its now -21F, and that thermometer says its -10F
