No trade is going to help this team, at least no trade that's really feasible. To make an impact one of the core guys would have to go and that wouldn't really help this season. It would be a write-off of the year.
You'd still have Porter, who, on the evidence, has no real vision for this team. A hallucination, maybe, but not a workable, coherent vision of how this teams should be playing.
So we'd have dissassembled the talent and whatever cohesiveness we do have and whoever came in would still be playing under and ineffectual coach.
Then, eventually, Porter would be fired and we would be left with ... what? No young talent coming up, no draft picks ... this would be a lottery team that would be feeding picks to OKC.
This all goes back to the unbelievable squandering and giveaways of talent and picks over the last five years. If Sarver had approved paying lux tax we'd have a wealth of talent, young and old, and several rings.
And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
