Yes and even if he gets off, he's already been proven guilty in the eyes of the public. OJ will have a better life than Vick at this point. I don't get how some of you still can't see this, his career is over, guilty or not.

Don't get some of WHO??? Ur the one talking about career! Who cares if he ever plays another down in the NFL or not.

Just sharing info/opinion about his case which I find interesting. Am neither a Vick Hater or an Apologist. U may try reading the whole post b4 fixating on this and lumping me into 1 of those 2 groups.

In the court of law, yes. The court of public opinion is quite another thing. Vick is a complete scum bag.

He's probably spent most of his money and after his prison stay he'll be a worthless street thug like the rest of his family. It will be a pleasure to watch him hauled off to prison and then read about him getting arrested again and again when he gets out. Scum bags belong in prison, luckily for us many of them are. Vick just needs to join them.

Not looking good for ol' Ronny Mexico now! Perhaps his lawyer can release another statement with words from Mike on how he is disappointed that he won't be with his team for "spring training". Vick's life is a complete train wreck. Revenge of Fido is upon us!

Vick's former coach taken aback by case

Jim Mora is so shocked about Michael Vick being indicted on federal dogfighting charges, the former Falcons coach doesn't know how he should feel about his ex-quarterback.

I believe Mike took the backseat approach with his breeding business. Any news on how often Mike was on the property? Mike could have easily funded his business without being present at the house.

I believe many fans are taking the right approach by letting things play out. There is no reason to fully judge Mike until he's convicted.

"Did you conspire with these folks to sponsor a dogfighting venture?" U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson asked Peace.

He replied, "Yes, sir."

Phillips and Peace, in the statement of facts which accompanied their pleas, admitted to killing approximately eight dogs who did not perform well in testing sessions by hanging and drowning them just days before federal authorities first raided Virginia property owned by Vick in April. The indictment of Vick says that property was used for dogfighting.

ESPN's Kelly Naqi has learned from multiple sources that Vick, Peace and Phillips initially hanged all of the dogs in the woods behind Vick's house but at least three dogs survived the hanging attempt. Subsequently, Vick, Peace and Phillips submerged the surviving dogs' heads in five gallon buckets filled with water until they drowned.

Looks like Vick took much more of a hands-on approach than many were initially ready to believe.

HMFFL, your post was almost a month ago, so understand this response is intended to be more general in nature and not directly specific to your comments.

You don't have to actually be convicted to be guilty. We, in the public, are under no obligation to say "Well, he wasn't convicted, he must be innocent! If Vick pleads to a lesser charge. but there's a mountain of evidence indicating he actually bred, fought and executed these dogs, it doesn't somehow mean that those things never happened. It just means that our criminal justice system is inadequately prepared to properly deal with the massive numbers of felons it is forced to process.

He's a dog killer. I hope his days in the NFL are over. It makes my blood boil every time I read or hear of a new detail regarding the brutal sadism of Vick and his co-defendents. It's outright disgusting.

f l u r p,

I took the backseat approach when this first started, but at the present time, I have some very strong feelings about this, and believe Mike had just as much involvement as the other men.

Yea. Getting a new group of friends later on in life to try to distance yourself from questionable behavior shouldn't be regarded as selling out. Its called growing up.

His behavior is pathetic at best. I would hate to see anyone disagree with that after he plead guilty on the charges that he did. I hope he can get his head back on straight someday and maybe become a better person, but regardless I hope he never plays professional football again.

I will give credit to Goodell and the Falcons owner Arthur Blank as to how they both handled the situation though. They gave Vick the benefit of the doubt before taking any harsh actions to kicking him out of the league. A lot of people put pressure on Goodell to suspend him before he knew all the facts. I know Goodell asked him not to attend training camp, but he was still being paid while the matter was reviewed.
