stoudemire to Jazz?
Suns want Stoudemire out. Is he an option or Jazz? Here is a trade that makes Jazz a contender. suns get bargain in Millsap with right to match any offer in off season, Memo, Almond and Collins off books in summer and can resign Memo and Almond for if they want. NYK pick and salary cap space for 2010 off season most important to them. Suns also drop Tucker contract which is kind of long. Jazz get shot blocker to help AK-47 defensively.
Jazz get: Stoudemire, Tucker, Amundsen & Barnes
Suns get: Memo, Korver, Millsap, Almond, Collins and NYk #1 pick
Jazz Lineup: PG Williams Price Knight
SG Miles Brewer Price Tucker
C Stoudemire Boozer Kosta Fess Amundsen
PF Boozer AK-47 Kosta Amundsen
SF Brewer AK-47 Barnes Harpring
Jazz get: Stoudemire, Tucker, Amundsen & Barnes
Suns get: Memo, Korver, Millsap, Almond, Collins and NYk #1 pick
Jazz Lineup: PG Williams Price Knight
SG Miles Brewer Price Tucker
C Stoudemire Boozer Kosta Fess Amundsen
PF Boozer AK-47 Kosta Amundsen
SF Brewer AK-47 Barnes Harpring
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
worst trade ever. Jozef you're off the hook.
Any Amare trade involves Boozer for Amare, perhaps we throw in a 2nd round pick and a right to swap picks...thats it.
your trade is awful, we give up everything.

Haha wow. Memo and Millsap? and the pick?
No thanks, Stoudemire is good. He might even be great, but we have just as much in Booz right now. Way too much to give up.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
boozer is amare? no, amare is shot blocker for one and he has a more diverse game then boozer, not to mention he is a freak of an athlete. Boozer, Almond and the NY pick. been saying it for awhile.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
Amare's a much better shotblocker than Boozer, but, in spite of that, he's not much of an upgrade defensively. Also, while he's more explosive and unstoppable attacking the rim, there's no way his game's more diverse than Boozer's, at least on the offensive end. The guy has no post game to speak of. His mid-range J's nice, but he doesn't really shoot/hit it unless Nash is creating for him and he's wide open, facing the basket, whereas Boozer is great at creating space and open J's for himself. That's not to say that he's not a dominant scorer or that I wouldn't trade Boozer (and filler) for him, but giving up Memo and Millsap seems excessive, especially given that I'm not really sure whether or not STAT and Booze could co-exist offensively.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
I would do Boozer and filler for Amare, but I wouldn't add the NYK pick, since Stoudamire has a player option in 2010-11, so we're basically getting Amare for a year and a half, and then it's anybodies' guess where he'll end up in 2010, and I'm sure he'll be in high demand. Also could we afford to resign Millsap and Okur in 2009, then Amare in 2010? Could they all co-exist together? Is it even worth it? I think not, our front court is fine, we don't need 3 All-Star caliber players in it, what we need is to use the NYK pick to get a young back up for Millsap. I don't wanna hear anything about keeping Boozer, because he's obviously prone to injuries and while is always a big question when it comes time to contract time. The draft has been plenty good for us in recent years, and I think with a lottery pick we could certainly get a good back up for Millsap. To me what this team needs is really time. We have 5 studs in Okur, Millsap, AK, Brewer, and Williams, and a few other guys who are good for us as well, we just need a healthy core, and some time to gel and grow, these guys are still not in their prime as far as we know.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
Ming,
As much as I like Millsap he is not the answer at the PF.
He is a fantastic 6th man, or reserve PF.
His lack of size is glaring. If he was 3-4 inches taller..........
What this team needs is a Defensive big, like Perkins in Boston.
I think the best scenario for the Jazz is AK being traded to clear space for a healthy Booz, Millsap and Okur
Then find a defensive big to rotate in as needed. Heck maybe Kufos will develope into that role.
I'm not sure Amare and Sloan would be a good fit either.
Amare has played the phoenix no defense style for to long.

Since we are currently competing with the Suns for one of the last few playoff spots, I am guessing they would be hesitant to send amare our way.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
giving up nyk pick for amare would be quite dumb. i rather package that pick with something and try to acquire okafor. that way jazz have a player that actually plays defense and wont bounce in 1.5 years.

Horrible trade!
Sending way too much for Stoudemire, and why would we want to get rid of the Knicks pick in 2010? That could very well be a top 5 pick.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
I miss the days when our good friend's trades were lopsided in OUR favor.
Memo, Millsap, Kyle, and the NY Pick... for Amare and Barnes. I love Amare -- straight up, I might prefer him over Boozer potentially -- and Barnes is a serviceable player, but this is just Old West style robbery.

I think that I might do that as well. We can't trade any 1st right now, so you can't even include them.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
amare could bolt but he may also stay because deron will still be one of the best points in the league wheras nash wont and I think amare isn't as much into the money as boozer not by much less but I just think he would be more loyal. I think he was all for staying in phoenix until things got sloppy and I dont think he cares for the coach.
and hoops4life why cant we trade the NY pick?

There is a very small slight chance that it could go to MN as part of the Korver trade with Philly.

Re: stoudemire to Jazz?
then couldn't utah just describe it has future considerations? knowing that there is no chance of the knicks ending this year with a top 6 record, the percentages are almost near impossible but not quite yet, so technically we cant.
if the suns had a backup big like a mcdyss i dont think i would be so opposed to
Boozer
Millsap
Mo
for
Amare
filler
possibly even bringing in a 3rd team? Maybe im just an amare fanboy, but im just imagining what I think he could do for us. He's probably not a better defender then boozer but he at least likes to blocks shot and that would help us so so much. Plus he could do what boozer does on offense for us, not to mention our favorite superstar calls. And we wouldnt have to cringe anytime our PF goes to the line.
The suns get what they want. a guy coming off the books in boozer because he said hes going to opt out and a young stud in millsap then they can decide what to do with both of them and they get a shooter in mo who could help them also.

sap or potential top 5 pick? take your pick, millsap is nice and a great hustle player, but our options are more opened after that next year to see what that pick turns into. who knows who we could get. but to me this doesnt sound liek a bad team
Dwill/Knight/Price
Brewer,Korver
Miles/AK/Harp
Amare/AK
Okur/Koufos/Fes
not to mention you throw in a lottery pick in there and it could be a very high pick. Anyway you look at it this team will be very different next year. I'd like to have the PF spot shored up for at least one more eyar and if he does well here why wouldnt he resign with deron and the jazz? Amare is a max player is boozer?
