That's what I see - though I'd be a a-hole to project that level of accomplishment - his game is similar as he is a "power wing" who can post up and use his body to beat down defenders. I like his developing mid-range game and his set 3pt shooting is only a couple of years away IMO.
Its hard to say what his ceiling is because he played so little, but his body control and hands are excellent and he's a physical specimen at 6'6 230lbs...right now i'd say he'll at least be as productive as Desmond Mason at his peak - 12-14 pts 5/6 rbs...I think his natural skill level at its current development is good enough to be a rotation guy/starter....
Its going to be about what he does from here that will determine his trajectory - I believe he has at least 3rd option scorer potential if he masters the one-dribble pull up and the spot-shot, which he can use to set up his slashing game - that would make him a 16-18 ppg type guy - assuming he refines his finishing at the rim, which is solid, but not spectacular now...
If he soaks in everything Pierce can throw at him over the next 3 years he's going to be a dangerous player off the bench, looking alot like Pierce did his rookie year...where he goes from there will be a matter of how consistently he can execute what he does - the natural ability is there to do everything that Pierce does in time, but the FREQUENCY is yet to be determined...
