What's wrong with what I said? Lopez was drafted at #15 and is a 20 year old with alot of potential (maybe the Suns shouldn't have drafted him but it is what it is) so they should be playing him. He's a solid defender, can block some shots and is a presence down by the basket, he had a few good dunks yesterday against the Cavaliers.
I don't know what Kerr sees in him when darfting him at #15. For a guy drafted that high, one would expect more polish, in this case, some polish. The guy really has nothing going for him. He has no offensive move. Can't shoot. Can't pass. His man-on-man defense is weak. And he's slow at communicating and rotating on defense. And, IMO, his rebounding should be the biggest concern. Per 48 minutes, he's averaging 8 rebounds and let his opponent has 12.9, which is a pathetic stat for a center brought in to suppose to concentrate on "defense and rebounding". At least he averages more rebounds than personal fouls (7.5) for the season.
I know he's a rookie, and this is his first year. Forget about drafting him 15 picks earlier, I'm just very discouraged by his stone hands and horrific rebounding. I'm not sure playing him would help. He just isn't ready for the NBA. He needs to learn a skill first. Then he can go out on the floor to refine that skill. Getting playing experience is useless if you got nothing going. In Lopez's case, the only experience he's getting is being a bad player.
