More KG news and it's not good.......

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 5:41 pm

Doc on KG: "After watching him today we're just gonna shut him down until the soreness goes away. Our goal is the last three games."

Perk on KG: "I could tell he's not 100%, he was limping, but he's a warrior. I'd take a 70% KG in the playoffs but we want him healthy."

Ok, this sounds serious to me now. I am not panicking or anything but it looks like we won't see him until the playoffs. He will be rusty come playoff time and we cannot afford to lose games then. Now yes, but not in the playoffs. If I was Doc, I would sit Pierce, Allen and Rondo, maybe even Perk.

Sound like he is going to be shut down for the rest of the season. I was concern when Danny Ainge came out and said that he WASN'T concern. When the GM comes out to say there is not concern it means he is concern and now this today? I have questions about KG health for the play-offs.

It's looking more and more like a Cavs vs Lakers series. We need to be at full force to have a chance to beat the Cavs, but he aren't.

KG's knee injury was serious when he was out 4 weeks instead of the 2-3 that was initially reported. Then it became worse after returning, there was swelling. It's too bad, because our window for title runs is small with PGA getting up there in age. This makes it that much smaller.

I can't say I'm really worried about this news. Is this really anything different then what we've been talking about for the last week or two? It would be nice to have him for the Cleveland game but other then that I'd rather him rest him to make sure he's ready to go. We all know KG, he will be there for the first playoff game with 100% intensity. Obviously I'd rather have him healthy now but I really think this will do us good long term.

I dont understand all the panic here, we all knew he wasnt 100% yet...there is absolutely no reason to rush him back in the place this team is in. All this means is he misses the next 4 games which are stretched out over 2 weeks and have very little importance at all. If he comes back for the last 3 games hel play against Cleveland, Phila, and Was to close out the season. The first of the 2 games will be a perfect judgment game for this team heading into the playoffs for implication purposes.

Il reserve judgment until then.

I guess they should have just kept him out of the line-up instead of brining him back for 4 games. That was a tease to the fans and now it could have done harm to KG's knee even more. But you have to be kidding me if you dont think this new is cause for some concern?

You shouldn't be worried. Worrying doesn't help anything. It is what it is. So we don't win a title this year. Life goes on. KG's knee isn't right. Without a healthy PGA, we most likely won't win this year. Ainge says it is not a setback. Doc says it is. All that doesn't matter, it's their opionion. We don't need Doc or Danny to tell us what's up.

The facts speak for themselves. After 4 weeks off, the knee hasn't gotten any better, there is still swelling there, enough to effective KG's game and health. It may not be a setback but it's not a set forward if you will.

Exactly theres no need to bring him back now, Id rather be 3d seed with KG than 1st or 2nd without KG. STOP OVEREACTING PEOPLE!

Ahh it's whatever...Im not really worried..he will play in the playoffs..there are like almost 3 weeks til playoffs start. He will be fine by then...as of right now the team is clicking pretty well..Big Baby has played very well, and we are winning without KG...let him rest...3rd or 2nd doesn't mean ish at the moment...

Of course its a concern. For all we know he might be putting off some more serious operation so we can have a playoff run. That's kinda what warriors do.

Most people don't even think the C's will make the finals this year. But I am going to have fun watching them and hoping they prove people wrong... It's kinda fun to root for the underdog.

We probably don`t even need him for the first round of the playoffs, so don`t rush him back. I am definitely worried but there is nothing we can do about it just hope for the best!

The Celtics have Mikki Moore what's the big deal? Mikki was probably going to take KG's minutes anyways.

It's not like we were really looking like a championship team before KG's injury. This season has just never really felt like a championship year...from the disasterous offseason decisions Danny made to the lack of mental toughness showed in losing 7 of 9 after Christmas to all the injuries of late. Just not our year. Give them one more shot next year and then blow it up if it doesn't work.

Let's refrain from burying the Celtics before they are officially dead. Lots of negativity on this forum.

:noway:

JR Hawks FTW.....mhmmmmmm....Not!!

Relax guys..Pierce or Allen are good enough to lead this team alone in the first round...so they could damn well do it together...why do people think we desperately need KG back before the playoffs?? We need KG 100% by the 2nd round...

Right..this is the best team we have had in what? 25 years? We have 3 All-Stars, and good, solid players all around them...we are 4 games away from winning 60 games for the second year in a row! Any other year we would be number one seed in the NBA easily...and people are ready to blow up the team and win 20 games per year in the next 10 seasons...damn...what the **** do these people want man? :-?
