that is more or less due to the fact that the Jays have scored the most runs in the league... I find they give up a tad too much in the runs department (7th in Runs Allowed in the AL, but an impressive 4th in ERA)

That's largely because we've played 21 innings more than the second-place team, having played two extra games and four games into the 11th.

Also, we can never forget that Cito was forced to start Burress not once but TWICE!!!
But let's face it, it's a been an easy schedule so far, and Jays didn't exactly blow out the only really decent team we met (KC). If Hollinger did his statistical gloss for baseball rankings, they probably wouldn't look as good.
That said, they're doing what they need to do, with a severely depleted pitching staff. I'm psyched.
