Meh, it wasn't that hard of a foul, just flagrant. The clotheslines and collarings on a fast break are way more dangerous. Plus Dirk is off balance all the time, so I wouldn't be surprised if Martin nudged him or barely swung him and let his own momentum take care of the rest. Nowitzki also knows he's off balance most of the time, so that's why he probably doesn't say anything. He makes a living by being able to hit shots off balance that most guys would rim out on.
Technically, if Martin just plays close D on Dirk using his foot position and body position to close all the space on Dirk I wouldn't be surprised if he could achieve the same affect as a throw down. And I don't mean any Bruce Bowen tactics, just good clean tight D.
