WEEI is reporting that Pitino has informed Louisville that he will be remaining on as their head coach. Yeah, for now... He'll get that itch again. His people must have told him that Sacramento isn't a good option, wait it out some more.

This is precisely why he would want to come back - to redeem his coaching legacy. Imagine if PP had given up last year. He would have said to himself - well I failed for the first 10 years of my career so why bother trying in the playoffs.
