^I still don't think his all-full-court-press all-the-time approach and his harping/micromanaging of players would work in the NBA...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

WEEI is reporting that Pitino has informed Louisville that he will be remaining on as their head coach. Yeah, for now... He'll get that itch again. His people must have told him that Sacramento isn't a good option, wait it out some more.

He's failed twice, though...why go through it again?

At least this time he should wait until seeing whether they win the lottery or not...


This is precisely why he would want to come back - to redeem his coaching legacy. Imagine if PP had given up last year. He would have said to himself - well I failed for the first 10 years of my career so why bother trying in the playoffs. :P

You have to continually strive for success if you want to reach new heights..

Even in college ball...his teams play well but do not output the same kind of NBA players that other Marquee programs regularly do...
