It's an annual rite of summer.
A day when scrawny kids from California...

...start their roads in becoming NBA Legends.

Where Can't miss prospects...

...start the journey in bustdom.

Where Foreign Surprises Are Born...

Dunk Contest Winners Too...

Promising young duos are made.

Where You Wish for a Re-do.

Sometimes Headaches.

Sometimes where a draft free faller...

can become the face of the franchise.

Where one warm summer night, can change a franchise's entire future...

It's the NBA Draft and The RealGM Pacers' Board 5th Annual Mock Draft Contest.

What: 2009 NBA Draft
When: June 25, 2009, 7 p.m.-12 a.m. ET
Where: Madison Square Garden, N.Y.
Rounds: Two rounds
Here Are the Rules:
Only one entry allowed per participant
Each Participant Will Try to Predict the Course of the First Round. There are 30 picks.
You can edit your entry as many times as you want until the draft starts.
This thread will be locked by one of the moderators, shortly before 6 P.M. EST on June 25th. All entries must be submitted before then.
A player can only be used once in your first round predicition.
One point will be awarded for each player correctly placed in the first round.
Example: If you have the Pacers taking Eric Maynor, and he ends up being taken by the Kings at #23, then you will still earn one point because you correctly predicted him being taken in the first round regardless of not getting his exact position.
An additional one point will be earned if you correctly place a player at their exact draft position.
Example: If I predict the Clippers taking Blake Griffin at #1, and he indeed goes at this spot, then I earn 2 points. One for correctly placing him in the first round. One for correctly predicting his exact draft position. Easy enough, right?
Even if a team trades their pick, you will still be awarded two points if you correctly predict the player at his actual drafted position.
Example: For instance, if I predict the Pacers taking Brandon Jennings at #13, and they trade the pick to the Knicks who then take Brandon Jennings. I still get two points.
*BONUS*:
You will earn an additional 5 points (in addition to the 2), if you correctly predict who the Pacers take at #13. If the Pacers trade #13, but you guess the right player at the spot, you get the 2 points but not the 5 bonus points.
You will earn an additional 5 points if you correctly predict who the Pacers take at #52.

Seeing as how it's been two years since my back to back titles, I'll have to tone down my normal smack-talk spiel. However, I'd like to point out that the mods still rule supreme! We aren't going to be taken down lightly, and I encourage you to bring your "A" game or don't bother coming around at all. To be the best, you gotta beat the best
