I think I read that he got the spanish IRS to majorly reduce his buyout, so him going 3 should be no issue. I will look for a link.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I'm like J2J. I voted for the #2 way back when, but I don't see it that way now. If we get the chance, I'd prefer to wait to see how the #5 and #6 shook out on draft night, rather than be forced to offer more earlier by the threat of another trader.

Not sure if you're like me at all. :-(

I voted to keep the #5 and #6 back then. I vote to keep them both now, unless we find a way to package #6 with #18 and small add-on like Pekovic or the Utah pick to move up to #2.

I'm not now, then, nor will ever be ok with a #5 and #6 for #2 swap unless there's a major add-on not named Gay or Conley, which means a 3 team deal.

It's hard to say with Rubio because I've never seen him play. I wouldn't trade 5 and 6 for anyone else in this draft, but most of the time I'd rather have the best player.

We definitely need to fill the PG and SG spots by season's start but they both don't have to come through the draft.

Wow, pretty interesting that you guys had a thread on this over a month ago! But anyways, before yesterday's trade, if I had approached your board and asked you to give up the 6th pick + Foye + Miller + take on some bad contracts to get Rubio, would you still say yes? Because that's essentially what you would be giving up with the 5th + 6th pick for the 2nd...

why would we give up more just to get one player? they will stay put and grab the combination of Evans/Rubio or Evans/Curry, both of which stand to be an excellent young guard combination for years to come. I don't get the love for Derozen. If we get a small forward, Earl Clark or Austin Daye could be had later in the draft.

What is the story on the workout DeRozan was supposed to have? At first I thought the Wolves cancled it but then I saw in the paper that DeRozan was "sick". I wonder if he had the same sickness Thabeet had when he was supposed to workout for the Grizzlies.

Ouch, that means he is saying that I was wrong. Sigh. It hurts, it hurts more from one who is pretty much the trade/valuation guru of our board, and it hurts most from another who enjoyed the Firefly series.

If you need me I will be in the corner with my mis-evaluations (though I still think they were correct for the time) ...

Otherwise, yes, read too much, posted far more than my norm, and still just can't wait for the draft results. Then we can have more trade talk fun on what actually did and did not happen.
