Let's sign KT and Tim Thomas for the minumum and we almost got our beloved SSOL Suns!

He signed a 4 year/$30 mil deal in spring '04, so i guess he signed a two year deal after that (SA?)

That's pretty cheap for KT though I don't know how much he has left - could be plenty, I haven't seen him play much since he left Seattle.
Too expensive for us though/quote]

You didn't watch him(KT) when the Spurs used him to beat us? :o

Uhhh ..... yes, well, there's that, isn't there? Slipped my mind, probably something to do with being too painful to recall.

It would be nice, but it wouldn't turn back the clock, sadly.

First let's sign them. Then we'll worry about the clock :D

KT would be nice. He would give us a much needed post defender and he can also step out and hit that sweet mid-range jumper. But he is getting up there in age though. :-?

I'd make a move for Shelden Williams. Another cheap big who can provide rebounding and D and probably still has some upside if he can add the midrange J to his arsenal. He would be a modern-day Antonio Davis/Kurt Thomas type of player

Hmmm Von Wafer. He's a nice scorer off the bench, but we already have Barbs. Wouldn't make sense unless Barbosa suddenly turns into a PG.

OR we have plans in place to move JRich for a C (oh god please not Dally).

Fishi and I often disagree but we have come together as one in our fear of Sammy landing here .....

Really? I find myself agreeing with you on quite a few things. Maybe I just don't post it.

IHG is also saying we're trying to move JRich for a center. Guess Von Wafer is a replacement for JRich...mmm...

Can this guy play defense?

At least he is 6'5 - so that would would a nice addition if he can defend as they sure need a guard that can stop somebody.

But as was mentioned, that would mean Barbs or JRich is gone. Not loving the idea of JRich for Dalembert. Too bad Sterling wouldn't take JRich for Camby and another piece?

I understood the fear of getting Sammy for Wallace's contract, since this would have hurt our cap space next year,
but getting him for J-Rich's contract doesn't hurt there, it actually saves us few millions as well (since the contracts are the same length, but J-Rich earns 2M more each year).

Barbosa can give us whatever J-Rich gave, at half the price, and i'm not sure we can say that on Lopez & Sammy (and i do think Lopez can become a decent big men - 10/10, but it might take more time).

And i'll say again that i'll prefer to get KT here...
though slim chances of this happening, since it'll be Kerr admitting another mistake.

I like Wilcox a lot. Also like Ryan Hollins. Seems stupid to me that Dallas hasn't picked him back up.

Spoken and heard a few things about him. No-one mentions his D as a positive.

Baffling why we would go for another volume scorer unless it's because we are moving either LB or JRich.

He's not a full-fledged defensive stopper, but he's active and stays in front of his man at all times.

He runs the break and finishes very well. He's not a "volume scorer" per se. I've seen him get the croud riled up several times with some quick transition layups and dagger threes. If we are getting him for the vet. minimum I am completely happy with the pick-up.

Was Hill's contract the use of part of our MLE or simply an expansion of his previous contract and allowable without the use of our exception?

I believe Houston was offering him the vet minimum, so I'd be surprised if he signed with us for just that much.
