I don't see how trading Okafor makes any sense for the Bobcats at all.
Yes, they overpaid the guy by about $5-10 million over the life of that contract but he is still the best piece on the roster all things considered. He is the key piece of the defense which is the only thing the Bobcats really have going for them right now as a team.
The offense is downright terrible if they didn't have a high quality defense they wouldn't be within a few moves of making the playoffs and really I don't think the franchise will survive rebuilding from the ground up again without having made at least one or two trips to the playoffs before they start over.
With him providing the defensive backbone of the team its actually quite possible that Augustin, Diaw, Henderson and a healthy Wallace could raise the offense enough for the team to manage 45 wins next season.
A year from now both Radmanovic and Mohammed become valued trade assets as expiring contracts and the Bobcats regain roster flexibility.
I also believe that as the offense gets better (which will happen regardless of Henderson being a good addition simply due to having Larry Brown's reshaped roster spending a training camp together) that Okafor will become more effective offensively as the spacing and passing improves.
It just seams insane to trade a defensive anchor who gives you 15 PPG, 11 RPG, 2 BPG on a per 36 minute basis that is heading into his prime when you aren't likely to get equal value back because Emeka Okafor's value does take a hit based on his contract that he hasn't quite shown to deserve to this point.
