Because I have a feeling between either Phoenix or OKC one of them will be in the top ten.

Maybe this is something to revisit come the trade deadline?

Would you make it both picks - yours and the Suns one?

Now what if both picks became top three? Presti would look pretty dumb wouldn't he.

I think the highest of the two is fair. After all it is unprotected.

okc fan and i think a trade along these parameters would work for both teams. i really don't see the thunder commiting that kind of money to okafor because they seem to have a love fest for jeff green and the other front court prospects like d.j. white. acquiring okafor would pretty much mean jeff green's gone next season regardless of how he performs since the team won't be able to afford extending all the rookies with oak on the books.

my guess is that presti's going to wait until this offseason to make moves like this once he gets a better idea of what's available in the draft. if he feels he can get a front court player comparable to okafor in the draft (i don't feel this way) he's going to wait it out.

but who knows really, he did trade for tyson chandler which was pretty surprising but i'm convinced that the trade was rescinded more due to buyer's remorse than injury history.

i'm adverse to the trade stipulation 'higher of the two picks'. i wouldn't let it be a deal breaker but i don't think that's a fair condition. d.j. white could be a solid rotation player who's real cheap, he's not really a throw in..

Only as dumb as the Bobcats would look if they gave up a young, productive centre and one of only 3 or so guys to average a double double every season for the past 5 seasons, who is still to hit his prime, is a poster child for "good character" and the only got back a mid 1st round pick and some filler.

I don't really like the second trade for you guys, but one of the CHA fans did, so i made that scenario, but if you guys wanted Boozer, would that work? And picks could be added.

I don't see how trading Okafor makes any sense for the Bobcats at all.

Yes, they overpaid the guy by about $5-10 million over the life of that contract but he is still the best piece on the roster all things considered. He is the key piece of the defense which is the only thing the Bobcats really have going for them right now as a team.

The offense is downright terrible if they didn't have a high quality defense they wouldn't be within a few moves of making the playoffs and really I don't think the franchise will survive rebuilding from the ground up again without having made at least one or two trips to the playoffs before they start over.

With him providing the defensive backbone of the team its actually quite possible that Augustin, Diaw, Henderson and a healthy Wallace could raise the offense enough for the team to manage 45 wins next season.

A year from now both Radmanovic and Mohammed become valued trade assets as expiring contracts and the Bobcats regain roster flexibility.

I also believe that as the offense gets better (which will happen regardless of Henderson being a good addition simply due to having Larry Brown's reshaped roster spending a training camp together) that Okafor will become more effective offensively as the spacing and passing improves.

It just seams insane to trade a defensive anchor who gives you 15 PPG, 11 RPG, 2 BPG on a per 36 minute basis that is heading into his prime when you aren't likely to get equal value back because Emeka Okafor's value does take a hit based on his contract that he hasn't quite shown to deserve to this point.
