I agree. The guy is injury-prone. Once he comes back from an injury he's a non-factor.

artest in L.A. i mean... artest in houston was a different world all together. how insane do you think artest is gonna go living in L.A. with everything there is to do. i hope he ruins their chemistry and makes the locker room a living hell.

Well no ****. Laker fans are EASILY the most unintelligent fans in sports, and it's not even close. Seriously no exaggeration.

Trading J-Rich for Odom is a pretty stupid trade on our behalf.
Odom expects a lot of money for long time, while we have J-Rich for less money and an option of re-signing him if he's wanted back in Phoenix.
On the roster side-- J-Rich is a solid defensive SG that can't be replaced with our current roster. On the other hand, Odom is a decent PF. But why would we need him if we already have a more explosive Amar'e Stoudamire and Channing Frye?

Indeed. Where to begin with this?

1) JRich may at some point in his life played defense, of any kind. He hasn't shown any interest in it here
2) Barbs replaces him quite handily. Only real difference is Barbs has become passable at the 1 slot.
3) Odom is, when motivated, an absolute warrior at PF

I am hoping Artest will become a distraction and more of a liability than an asset to the Lakers.
