IMO he is not a Top-5 european point guard yet, because he has to improve a lot in certain aspects of the game such as shooting or controlling the tempo of the game better but his basketball IQ, his skill set and natural instincts makes him already better than most of european point guards.

Seriously, i think this year is going to be awesome playing next to athletic big guys who can run the floor pretty well such as Vázquez, N´Dong or Morris and streaky shooters who plays very good off the ball such as Navarro, Basile or Lakovic.

This is ironic i hope.
The game was poorly played overall and specially the OT was full of silly mistakes and terrible decisions.

Horrible referee decision on that 24-second violation by Greece in which Spanoulis then hits a 3-pointer from the extra 4 seconds the refs gave them

Welcome to the Roko Ukic show. Kid is sick as Croatia is upsetting Slovenia at the half 39-47. LOL at Nacbhar and Popovic picking up technicals.

According to the shot clock Perperoglou's shot was good.

The other 8 guys who were playing should pay to have a monument built for Erazem Lorbek.

Lorbek was a **** god.
Lakovic and Slokar came up clutch too, but it was all Erazem.

Popovic probably feels terrible for changing the game before halftime.

But considering they lost Koufos and their backup point guard, they accomplished a lot making the semifinal.

This is so wrong on so many levels. Do you realize it looks, smells, and sounds like a lame excuse? First of all, games are still to be played and Greece could win it all. Second, every team has to make do with the players they brougth, and the capability to overcame injuries is part of what defines a true champion. Third, you're talking 9th, 8th best players on the team at best.

Above all, you're rationalizing the (quite) probable Greek loss without considering other teams like Slovenia have lost two way better players (Smodis and Dragic) and are forced, too, to play three games in three days. What should they win in an ideal world, then? Platinum?

The Greek team as it is right now would beat Slovenia. The problem is beating Spain.

Beating Spain would be hard under any circumstances. Greece hasn't won a game against, or even finished a tournament above Spain for quite some years. And that was with much better players than Papamakarios on the roster. So arguing they should win gold if not for injuries is nothing more than a red herring.

Fact is, Greece doesn't have, or could have, a better team than Spain

Fact is, Greece isn't head and shoulders over Turkey.

Fact is, Slovenia could beat Greece, specially if Smodis and Dragic are available. And this last point has a small chance of be proven if both fall short in semifinals.

Hidayet Türkoğlu sabotaged the Turkish team. There is no other explanation of his shot selection ,turnovers and defense.

Wow, losing a 19 point lead and getting beaten by 12 points. Great job. The technical on Hedo changed the game.

Not at all IMO. He was running full speed so he could foul before time expired. Obviously he clashed with Boki very hard, but he had to in order to run at him at full speed to stop the clock.

Good attempt to save the game by Roko. Nothing wrong with it.

One least thing he could do would be to help him stand up or apologize....
