LAC, Portland and SAS have a blockbuster to announce
LAC Out: Sebastian Telfair and a TPE
LAC In: Chris Duhon, Will Bynum, Rights to Petteri Koponen Rights to Joel Freeland, Miami 2011 1st round pick and Portland 2011 1st round pick.
Outgoing Salary: $2,500,000
Incoming Salary: $6,031,800 + $825,497
LAC is under the cap enough to absorb the salary difference
Portland Out: Joel Przybilla, Chris Duhon, Brandon Roy, 2011 1st round pick Rights to Petteri Koponen and rights to Joel Freeland
Portland In: Joe Johnson, Al Horford, Sebastian Telfair
Outgoing Salary: $6,857,725 + $6,031,800 + $3,910,816 *1.25 + 100,000 = 21,100,426
Incoming Salary: $14,976,754 + $4,307,640 + $2,500,000 = 21,784,394
Portland have enough cap space to make the numbers work.
SAS Out: Will Bynum, Joe Johnson, Al Horford and Miami 2011 1st round pick
SAS In: Joel Przybilla and Brandon Roy
Outgoing Salary: $14,976,754 + $4,307,640 + $825,497 ~21 million
Incoming Salary: $6,857,725 + Roy's PPP salary (should be ~15 million) ~22 million
LAC do it to get 2 1st round picks and 3 young players we really like. We give up cap space and Telfair and to be honest we think Bynum is much better than Telfair.
