The problem is that we aren't there yet so they look like huge anchors. Take Paul Milsap. Just signed a contract worth more $$$ than Noc to be the SIXTH MAN. Yet if you compare the numbers, they are about equal.
It might be that we end up moving one or both of them this year or next, but if the team is getting on the same page and things start working, I say just keep them. Don't forget (as we should all see too well right now) how imprtant DEPTH is in the NBA.
Well, no. They're not. Not in this economy. Until Beno plays like he did tonight on a much more consistent basis, he's worth maybe $4million a year. In this economy, I'd say that's about the going rate for a below average starter in this league.
The same goes for Noc. Yeah, he had a great shooting night tonight, but he's also inconsistent/streaky. He also has plenty of games where he's a detriment to the team. He's worth around what Beno is. That's also about the going rate for a very nice, if not spectacular bench player.
Millsap efficiently put 16/10 last year when starting with very nice defense, and the Jazz have been trying to move Boozer so that they could move him into the starting lineup. He's also a PF, and younger than our two guys.
