That went well!

Re: PG: The Bears are who we thought they were
Anxiously awaiting Lovie's press conference. I'm sure he'll say a whole lot of nothing.
"We're going to forget this game and look forward to Thursday"
"We outscored them in the second half so that was encouraging"
"Our defense has to get better"
yawn.

That highlight with Dennis Green is still hilarious.

A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

At least we didn't lose to the Bucs.

Yeah right. I thought Aaron Rodgers was supposed to be an MVP candidate. He's been very disappointing.

No. He's on pace for 32 TDs and 4500 yards. That's far from disappointing.

And here I thought the Bears would have at least made a game of it (boy, was I wrong). Terrible defense, stupid penalties, special teams gaffs, etc. How did this team beat Pittsburgh?

In a word? Atrocious. How Lovie can come out and gleam any kind of hope or lesson out of this game is beyond me. GM is a fail, Coaching staff is a fail, personnel is a fail. Blow it up.

Good point, except this Bears team we have seen the past couple weeks doesn't even keep people out of the endzone. FG kickers haven't even had the chance to blow it for their teams lately.

Re: PG: The Bears are who we thought they were
The Bears actually played pretty well in the 2nd half on both sides of the ball.
If we can pick-up where we left off .......maybe we can salvage some sense of dignity for the rest of the season.
Let's hope.

I don't want dignity. I want heads to roll. My dignity would be a brand new coaching staff and GM. Dignity will mean 7-9, mediocrity, and the same old thing next year.

Not if history is any indication. Dick Jauron (who Lovie replaced) was fired after a 7-9 season and he had far less expectations to meet than Lovie Smith does now. The only question is whether the McKaskeys would want to eat the last years of his contract.

With the line he has, he's still playing extremely well. Arguably one of the best QB's so far. Today was mediocre, though. 3 turnovers.

Re: PG: The Bears are who we thought they were
Yeah, it's especially sad when you consider that a couple of our wins were due to kickers missing easy kicks, then a few more were versus teams like Detroit and the Browns.
