He is young and will develop but he is all athlete at the moment and less ballplayer.

How can you tell that by the few minutes he has played? All of the other rookies are playing and learning. Our rookies never get to play except sorry azz Dragic (Dude suks!). Let Clark PLAY!!!

I feel like my mom back in the day when she would spend all week cleaning up after me, then relax for a bit, and the moment she turns around the place is in shambles again.

I JUST CLEANED UP THIS PLACE

A turnoverprone rookie is the 4th best player on this team? Your idiocy knows no bounds mary...

Statisback, no one likes the guy who ignorantly whines about stuff he doesnt try to understand.

Completely agreed. I want the guy to be good too, but I don't think he's there. He's a rookie guys, that's just how it goes.

I have watched him for a while now going all the way back to his freshman year at Louisville. Earl has always been a little lax in the intensity department. What intrigued scouts were his physical tools. Skill wise he has the makings of a decent mid range jump shot but he cannot create off the bounce unless he is mismatched with a bigger player.

Defensively he has great length but not great strength(yet).

I think on offense he is a Power Forward, but on defense he is a Small Forward. This makes him a tweener without a true position until he develops more.

Amare was very raw when he came into the league, but was blessed with incredible athleticism like Clark has now. What Clark is missing though is desire, heart and intensity. I also don't think he has the same confidence level and will to believe he can be great.

Clark just needs time to settle in and build himself up. He has played some decent minutes for the Suns but with Rolo coming back soon, Collins in the mix and expectations rising with every win, he will need to step up his game if he wants to contribute this year. Match ups will also determine when he will see court time as well. I think he would match up great against Durant for example.

Gentry will give him every opportunity to shine but like Traxxe said he has to earn his chances.

The NBA means No Boys Allowed. He has to become a man now...

The two reasons Clark is not playing are .......

Dudley and Lou

There are just not enough minutes to sprinkle around. Him sitting on the bench is not a bad thing... but with the success of these two benchers, he has become the third man in the sf/pf rotations. He'll get his chance soon enough.

Even if he's not playing, can't we all just agree that it's nice to have some young talent on our team, as opposed to $3m cash?

I would always tend to say that I like to see rookies play where possible, but as Frank mentioned we get too much out of our hustle crew right now to insert EC into the roto too heavily.

I know this may sound wild considering his talent level, but what about sending EC to the DLeague for a bit? I really do believe he can become a great player, but I also believe that if we continue to succeed/contend, we really can't afford to give him big minutes. He would be the star of the team in the DLeague (hopefully) and would be runnin' with the (semi-) big boys. Just a thought.

It's hard to imagine that we trade Amare. He's a top 3 PF in the NBA and if if we can't get anyone better it'd be a dumb move. Especially if we make a deep run in the playoffs.

At any rate EC has so far been a let down... In all his minutes this season he hasn't shown me anything I really was floored by or to see he has huge promise. Fact is, guy hasn't earned much play tine. We have way better players than him on the bench so...

I completely agree. The D-League is a great asset to teams if they would properly utilize it. Send him to the D League were he would be a star, build up his confidence and come back aggressive.

It's a shame we didn't send Lopez and Dragic down to the D-League last season when Porter didn't use them. Since we're not using EC now anyway we should send him down there and pick up some PT. He won't get any better sitting on the bench.
