Re: Keep Jefferson, Trade Love for Randolph
I think you guys are a little too fond of Love. He's a good player, but hardly someone you can't trade. He's not a fan draw, he hasn't turned around the fortunes of the team, what keeps him from the trading block? I'm not saying he has to go or that he should be given away, but if Rambis' concerns about the ability for the two guys to play together is right, of course you trade either Love or Jefferson for the right offer. I get that some people don't think this is it, but is there any offer you would consider?

Re: Keep Jefferson, Trade Love for Randolph
I don't really want to trade either of them, I think our problems are in the SF/SG area, not Love/Jefferson, BUT BUT BUT, if we HAVE to trade one of them, we move Jefferson way before Love. Love is like the one guy on our team that fits what we're trying to do. Plus he's 20, on his rookie deal, and one of the best rebounders and passing big men in the league.
Love's not untouchable, but he's the closest thing we have that's currently playing for the Wolves. It would take quite a bit for me to consider moving him at this point.

I'd do a Jefferson for Randolph + Maggette deal. Not sure where the Warriors would stand on that, although I'm pretty sure where their fans would.

Did you lose a bet with a Golden State fan or something?

We are alot better team with him. I think he's already better than Al. He plays solid defense, is a great passer, good shooter, amazing rebounder on both ends, gets to the ft line at a good rate, and does all the little things.

Kevin Love is a player much like Rambis was. He'll score points, but he doesn't have to score to be effective. How many players besides Love take as much pride in rebounding as they do scoring? I think there are less than 20 in the league. Love still has a lot to learn about not telegraphing passes, individual defense and maybe when to keep his mouth shut. He has improved in every aspect of the game from last year and seems to want to continue to do so.
Love is a better fit than Jefferson for what Rambis is trying to do with this team.

I've been a fan since the beginning and I will be until my end.

He's a better player than this year's version of Al, but he's not playing better than Al was when Al went down last year. We're a better team with him, but honestly, even if you factored out our 2-16 start, we'd still have the second worst winning % in the league, so it's tough to say that we're a lot better with him. Calling him a solid defender is generous as well. He puts in a good effort and has good awareness, but he's still got a ways to go.

This post is spot on.

Trade Jefferson for Oden, and Love for Randolph. Sure there's about a 40% chance that they both flame out we're forced to burn the Target Center to the ground, but there's about a 5% chance they both reach their superstar potential and we win the next 10 NBA championships.

I agree w/ the general idea behind this, Love doesn't need a bunch of touches to be effective. Most upper players in the NBA need to molest the ball for 48 minutes to be effective, but Love puts up numbers just being on the court. Instead of waiting for the ball to find him, he goes and gets it off the glass in the paint and on the perimeter he knows when to move it and when to shoot it (more or less)
