I think you have a good point, but it's really hard to trust any trend-lines just yet. New coaches + new teammates + new system (one of the harder ones to learn) + new league for many (a bunch of rookie and 2nd year players on this team) = pretty good excuse for low assists.
I'm not saying you're not right, you might be. I'm just saying the numbers are really hard to take seriously so soon. We all knew this was going to be a 40 game practice followed by a 42 game season. Knowing that logically in your head is a lot different than seeing it though. And good grief it's ugly sometimes.
