Hey what do you guys think about this trade if we don't get Wall.

Nets trade Harris,TWA,Yi and our Dallas1st for Nash.I'm not sure if this gets us Nash or if its to much.I mean if its not enough we could always throw in a future pick because this trade obviously stops the rebuilding and puts us in win now mode.I figured they would want TWA over CDR or Lee thats why i put him in there.

We'd save some money in this deaI 2010/11.I wouldn't have a problem signing Amare if we had Nash.Would we be able to sign Rudy Gay and Amare if this went down?We'd still have our lottery pick and 2nd rnder.Re-sign Hayes pick up a back up for Brook.I don't watch a lot of college ball but i'm sure we can grab a good wing player with our pick if we can't sign Rudy or whoever.

It's too much for Nash.
I also don't know how I feel about Nash and Amar'e, or Nash at all.
I obviously like him better then Harris, but there maybe better ways to use Harris as an asset then this.

Did you know that there is a rumor from Hollinger of Bynum for Harris/Lopez??

I saw this somewhere and I'm trying to verify it. Does that make any sense? I thought Lopez is far better than Bynum...why would he be included AND Harris?

That is probably a move that would actually make me stop being a Nets fan. As good as a lot of people think Bynum is, I honestly believe he's one of the most overrated players in basketball. That is just my personal opinion though so don't castrate me.

I'm guessing that the Lakers offered Bynum for Harris + Lopez and the Nets laughed / turned them down... In that since there was a discussion between the two teams but it wasn't a serious one.

If Thorn knows Lebron and Wade will not come to the Nets for sure. Does he make this move?

Amare will want the max or extremely close to it and Gay wants like 12 mill a year.. (last year he said he wanted a 5 year 60 million).

If we signed both of those guys for that... and let the expirings expire... would we have a chance at signing Joe Johnson at all?

We would be trading a first rounder in the Memphis deal (say 2012) and trading the Dallas pick this year in the Phoenix end... this would save us a few bucks as well....

I love the fact that we all have our excellent trade ideas, but the reality is,

1. Heat....... Suns don't like Bealsey, other than him everything sucks in Miami. We'd be trading for trash, expiring and a mid round pick.

2. Bulls.....Thomas is okay, but not enough by himself for Amare, and the rest of the Bulls have bad contracts (Hinrich and Deng) and that equals spending on a rebuilding team.

3. GS........AR is a nice young piece, but you have to take a bad contract along i.e. Maggette, hinders rebuilding.

4. That brings us to NJ.........They have an expiring in Simmons. They have youngs in TWILL, CDR, LEE, picks, and they have a high profile "young" player with some potential in Yi. I just see this being the best and most simple trade possible.

The Suns don't add money. Avoid "super" trash and bad contracts. The Suns get a possible future 2 in Lee (more likely, because he is a better shooter say you guys, I've been reading) or TWill, Dallas pick, and Yi(someone who will bring a HUGE fan base). Yi and Nash, come on?! Pub citty. Yi maybe Frye 2.0 but he is "young" and doesn't cost anything.


As far as JRich, the Suns can be patient and let him expire next year. Free up more money to sign our players or a FA IF neccessary.

Now someone tell me honestly, how is this not the best situation for the Suns?

Plus, the Nets want Amare! Go to the Nets site, hoopshype or ask Amare!

Thanks for the post. BTW, most Suns fans think Yi is trash. There is suspposedly an offer like that on the table waiting for the Suns approval, I don't know, but if it is, is Yi that bad?

Yi>Frye. He'd fine in the Suns' system, can stretch the floor. Better rebounder and scorer than Frye.

Yiwould be fine in the Suns' system: he's long, can stretch out the floor, and can score if he's playing aggressive. However, he can be (most of the time he is) a black hole and doesn't play defense.

At a minimum, Amar'e is good for 20/9 on any team. I'm sure that once he's traded, he will have a major chip on his shoulder.

I don't think they are saying that Lee is a better player than Amare. I think they are saying that having Lee at $10-11 million >> having Amare at $17 million.
