What's the point of facing a tough OOC schedule?

I think you meant to say

Ask the SEC. They make cupcake OOC schedules annually and they seem to be in the mix every year despite playing an overrated conference schedule.

This made me salivate.

Just about every game on that bracket would be competitive, and I think a few upsets could happen (Troy over WVU anyone?).

   It's just amazing to me how WVU gets no respect. Possibly the best team in the country (their only loss is at USF when Pat White didn't play in the second half) and somehow they'll lose to Troy.

A tournament would be nice. I'd really like to see some of the SEC teams eliminated early so everybody isn't like OMG SEC IS THE BEST CONFERENCE EVER.

That's like hoping the Harlem Globetrotters lose. Some things just won't happen.

You're right. An average team could never beat the best SEC team at their own place... with national championship implications on the line. The second best team in the conference could never lose to South Carolina at home.

Really, the SEC has some good teams (LSU, Florida and Georgia) but the rest of the conference is decidedly average or below average. The venues are nice, and that helps with the product on TV, but the SEC really gets more credit that it deserves. A 3 loss Florida team in the Top 10? A 4 loss Auburn in the Top 25? A fairly average Arkansas team getting 138 votes in the AP??

You're talking about SEC teams beating SEC teams. One team has to lose.

I wasn't saying WVU would definately lose, I said "I think.....". Troy hangs around with everyone they play, so an upset over a team like WVU wouldn't surprise me, but we'll never get to see it happen.

Let's not act like South Carolina and Georgia are equal teams, and that there is that much parity in the SEC. The elite teams in the SEC like Georgia and LSU are not as good as everybody says they are, as much as the media likes to tell us otherwise.

Dude do you know what parity means? The fact that middle of the pack teams in the SEC knock of the elite teams of the conference means there is more parity in the SEC than in other conferences. That's pure definition right there, and it is the reason why the SEC constantly gets named the best conference in the country based on depth. If you disagree with the ratings of specific teams, that's fine, but knocking a conference for its parity while dismissing claims of parity is just baffling.

My main point was that the league is weaker than everybody thinks it is. The average teams occasionally beat the good to great teams in every conference, that isn't neccessarily parity.
