It's been reported that there's already been a $10+mil offer. He's also mentioned that he wanted to be released (since he is getting no burn at all) to spend time with his newborn. Now all of this was said after he got permanently benched in NY, and had resigned to the fact that the NBA just didn't want him, and he would not play another single minute for the remainder of this season.
I only bring this up as a slight possibility (and really, what the hell do i know). He's always just wanted to play a significant role, and if he gets to play then my fears would be meaningless.
Yes, Kahn is meeting with him to discuss his vision. Darko is offended by what has happened in NY, but I think he would like the chance to really get a proper chance in the NBA.
Darko has a decent BBIQ and passing ability. Having euro experience will allow him to understand the triangle offense better. Euro basketball uses a 3-2 or 4-1 motion based as their main sets. Kids grow up understanding spacing and ball movement based on defensive reactions and not the set-plays we teach our kids in america. This allows most euro prospects to struggle with set play formations, but strive in these read/react systems. (hence why pek and rubio will do very well with the system)
