Darko Miliminutes wrote:I hate to say this, but i have a slight fear that Darko could be a 8itch about all of this. He has been wanting a buyout so he could go back to Europe. It's been reported that there's already been a $10+mil offer. He's also mentioned that he wanted to be released (since he is getting no burn at all) to spend time with his newborn. Now all of this was said after he got permanently benched in NY, and had resigned to the fact that the NBA just didn't want him, and he would not play another single minute for the remainder of this season.

I only bring this up as a slight possibility (and really, what the hell do i know). He's always just wanted to play a significant role, and if he gets to play then my fears would be meaningless.

Yes, Kahn is meeting with him to discuss his vision. Darko is offended by what has happened in NY, but I think he would like the chance to really get a proper chance in the NBA.

Darko has a decent BBIQ and passing ability. Having euro experience will allow him to understand the triangle offense better. Euro basketball uses a 3-2 or 4-1 motion based as their main sets. Kids grow up understanding spacing and ball movement based on defensive reactions and not the set-plays we teach our kids in america. This allows most euro prospects to struggle with set play formations, but strive in these read/react systems. (hence why pek and rubio will do very well with the system)

Ok, so I look dumb. I just saw him on the roster and 3rd on our center depth chart and noticed him playing about 10 mpg in 20 games. I never stopped to look at what year that was, and just figured he was playing garbage minutes in games that I hadn't watched. My bad. I'll leave it unedited, so everyone will know I'm stupid (if they didn't already).

Just to balance out my post. Darko has very little confidence, consistency and can be more moody then a 14 yr old girl.

Thx Klomp.

You got the TOUCH...

You got the POWER...

Yeah...

After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner

You got the moves, you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat
You're nobody's fool

You're at your best when when the goin' gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

You got the touch
You got the power

When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

You got the heart
You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
You got the touch

You never bend, you never break
You seem to know just what it takes
You're a fighter

All I know is that Hollins is our "defender" but meh. Milicic is a good if not great compliment to Al/Love and I'm looking forward to seeing how he meshes.

The only question is if it's to little to late for Milicic.

We have an assistant coach who love to see Darko become a Detroit Bad Boy of old ... We don't seem to have anyone else willing. Fresh meat.

Imagine LeBron: "I'm not going down that lane in Minny ... Milicic is an Animal ... He's hurting people!!" :o :D
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

I wish. Our team is way to nice, I think we could use a jerk. Hopefully not in the locker room, but on the floor

More like "How much cap room does 'Sota have? I better get my tuchis in a T-Wolves uni before I get killed!"
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Play Milicic for 35 minutes a game and he'll average like 4 blocks only because no one else on our team is attempting to block shots. :P

There's a reason for Love's minutes. His first 15 minutes he's awesome. He'll be 3-4 from the field and 2-2 from 3 and like 7 boards. Then the next 10 minutes he's average. His defense slips. He starts missing his threes. All of a sudden he's 4-9 from the field and 2-3 from three with 9 rebounds. After 25 minutes he's getting worked defensively and only getting put backs on offense.

So what's the reason? He's still better than Hollins.

I swear that Hollins is special or something. That kid runs around all over the place, has incredibly high energy level, but can not get blocks or rebounds to save his life. You would think he would be able to at least do one or the other (assuming that if you attempt a block you are out of position for a rebound or vice versa).

Anyways, I think Darko will start out at like 8 to 10 mpg until he gets his legs underneath him, then gradually take over Hollins role....hopefully. I also am praying that we have seen the last of Gomes at the 4.

Lastly, Love only get 25 minutes that last few games has got to be a signal that mgmt doesnt think Big Al and Love can play together or that we give up too much defensively. One will be traded this summer.

Rotation after a couple weeks:

Hollins 10 / Jefferson 14 / Darko 24
Jefferson 18 / Love 30
Gomes 22 / Wilkins 16 / Brewer 10
Brewer 20 / Ellington 28
Flynn 28 / Sessions 20

I think the 34 minutes or so available to Hollins and Darko will be split up depending on how Darko progresses. They are his minutes to take if he gets his head straight.

Rambis' rotations are flat out garbage.

Not only does he play clowns that should be glued to the bench, and not only does he not allocate the minutes of the guys he does play properly, he also jerks guys in and out of the lineup and disrupts any sort of rhythm from being established.

If this guy isn't deliberately tanking, he sucks ass.

I don't understand that either but it seems to be an NBA wide epidemic.
