If he bought into it and played with confidence then he would eat other teams 2nd units alive. He's got tons of skill and scoring is his forte if he's the focal point of the offense as he should be in the 2nd unit he should dominate other teams while their starters are off the floor. But, this only works if Hawes buys into that role.

I also agree that hawes plays his best basketball when he is on the floor with Beno so those two should be like a package deal when you've got hawes on the floor you need to bring in Beno because it really is all about chemistry between players.

I disagree with the idea that a Landry Thompson front court is playing small ball. Landry is a smaller PF but he's long and athletic allowing him to play bigger, Thompson is as big or bigger than most centers in the league and he's strong enough to handle the position.

Eh, depends on what you need from your bench. I'd rather have energy and aggression coming off the bench and stability in the starting unit. You have two guys that bring both, I guess to each their own.

Reke needs to look towards the middle of the floor off the pick and roll. For the first time even Grant mentioned how wide open Landry was. He had Landry on an easy run to the rim if he'd just swing that ball over the top or in between the double team.

Couldn't disagree more with the last statement. Landry IS NOT long for a PF, and Thompson is not strong enough to handle the position. Landry is pretty strong though, I didn't realize he was this strong. A little bit like Brockman, what ever hits him more often than not bounces back the other way.

Westphal really needs to start settling on not only a lineup, but a style of play. With Landry and Evans being our "go to" guys, he needs to start basing an offensive system around them. A good offensive system has at least one other option besides the first, this team has been a first option or nothing team for too long now, it has to stop.

Hey, I wouldn't give up if I were any of you. Lets see what Westphal can do when he gets these guys some plays to run. He is really high on Landry and said he wants to try running some KJ/Barkley stuff out there. Landry had a decent game, not bad when you are playing with guys you've never played with before. He does have some pretty good offensive skill, I think I really underrated him, that or I thought he was just a product of Rick Adelman. I think I might have been wrong on that one! Good for us, hahaha.

Dominic played well. He played the defense he's known for. Still, I would much rather see Dorsey get some time. May, while a good guy and OK player, just doesn't fit and HE'S the one needing to put on the suit and tie, not our only remaining legit rebounder. Man, I miss Brockman.

We saw some good things, and some terrible things tonight. I'm going to give the Suns credit. They beat us. Yeah we could have done some things better, but I think the Suns out played us.

You know who would fit perfectly next to Landry? A shotblocker like Hasheem Thabeet. Landry's not really undersized, he's 6'9''. But like you said he's not that long. I mean he's a good post/man defender and he rotates well, and he tries to challenge some shots, but it'd help having a long goalie next to him. Landry does a good job on offense, hitting open shots, he can drive, he can post, he can play the pick and roll, he's a good passer(remember when he hit a cutting Casspi in the 1st Q and Casspi was wide open for a lay up but he traveled, or when he hit Beno off a screen in the fourht and Beno hit a 3?). I think he can do a lot of stuff, we just need a guy next to him that compliments him.

Which is why he'll probably be leaving the suns after this year to go chase the money in NY or Miami?
