Worst Packers can do is 10-6.
Lions lose, go to 6-6. Best they can do is 10-6, we need to take divison tiebreaker from them still if they beat us.
Bears lose, best they can do is 9-7.
Vikings win, go to 6-6. Best they can do is 10-6, we take tiebreaker.
EDIT: NEVERMIND, FORGOT WE ONLY PLAYED DETROIT ONCE.

Figuring the Packers clinch the first round bye, what team would you least like to meet in the NFC divisional game?
I was actually wrong, we didn't totally clinch over Lions. If they beat us last game of the year and we're tied at 10-6, it will have to go to divisional record first, then common games.

Should clinch the division next week with a win over Oakland and Lions loss to Dallas though.

GB wins next week AND Detroit looses.
If Green Bay wins next week, the worst they could end up would be 11-5.
Even if the Lions win, the best they could end up would be 10-6.
Like I said, magic number is one.
So you see, the thread obviously isn't completely useless. You learned something.

What I most want is that first round bye. Once that happens it's time to sit some starters.
Yea getting that first rd bye is huge.
There is a much bigger diffrence between the #2 seed & #3 seed than the #1 seed & #2 seed in the NFL obviously.
with a #2 seed of course all you have to do is win one 1 at home and 1 on the road and your in the super bowl, thats definalty do-able for the Packers.
If the Packers got bumped down to the #3 seed and had to play a wild card game then had to play/win 2 on the road to advance to the super bowl i'd say the Packers chances of winning the NFC would be very silm.
Thats why those 2 times we went 12-4 under Mike Sherman the Packers realy didn't have a real shot to win the NFC.
Im sure you remember in 2002 when we went 12-4 we got the #3 seed because of the Eagles and Rams both going 12-4 and winning the tie breakers, then in 2001 when we went 12-4 and we acutually got bumped down to the #4 seed because the Bears had that fluke 13-3 season and won the central division.
That sucked because 90% of time 12-4 is good enough for at least the #2 seed. The Packers just had bad timing to go 12-4 in 2001 & 2002 I guess.
When we went 12-4 in 2001 we should have done it a year earlier,in 2000 the Giants got the #1 seed and homefield with an 11-5 record.

I just remember the year they could've gotten a bye, but got a** f*cked by the Jets the last game of the season...and then let the Falcons come in and beat us in the first Packer playoff loss ever in Lambeau. Tough times.
I just want to get that bye. I don't like the fact Seattle and Tampa Bay are playing good ball right now. On paper the Packers have a favorable schedule, but they need to take care of business. I have a feeling they could be sluggish against Oakland. Oakland is coming off a win too. At St. Louis has never been too kind to the Pack, and they're playing a little better lately as well. At Bears is always a dangerous game. Obviously they beat us already. I think we'll take the Lions the last game of the year.
Just try to take 3 of 4 and we'll get it.
