And seriously people why do so many people want to keep Powell and Benga i mean i read people saying Fisher should retire and coach and Farmar is terrible but for some unknown reason so many people on this board want to keep Powell and Benga not guys like Farmar and Fisher who have won playoff series for the team and are serious parts of the rotation.

because they're dirt cheap, they know the offense, they know the drill, and they fill our pf, c spots off the bench.

Young players are even cheaper and the ones i'm talking about (Gaffney, Elonu) were in the system during training camp and preseason and even the summer leagues so they have some understanding of how the Lakers play. The only truly new players on the roster next season should be whoever the Lakers add at PG, the Grizzlies pick, and the 13th guy to make the team.

Just an update on Elonu and Gaffney if anyone was wondering:

Elonu signed a two-year deal with the Spanish club team Zaragoza. He has an opt-out clause that will allow him to sign with the Lakers after the 2009-10 season.

Tony Gaffney is apparently playing in Israel and is currently recovering from an injury he suffered last month.

How do you think he will feel in May, when the Lakers are in the Playoffs and the Rockettes are a Lottery Team?

Hopefully he will thank his agent...

On Gaffney's blog it said that because of the injury he left the Israeli team and is back in the states. I guess he's looking to the summer leagues to get on a roster hopefully the Lakers. I don't know anything about Elonu's stats with the spanish team.

I'm cool with them coming back. unless there is a pf/c that can make us better and can be signed for cheap.

Anthony Morrow is a restricted FA. I would love to sign him to take Sasha's spot. But most likely, we can't move Sasha and GS would match any offer we could give Morrow. Oh well.

WTF.........

I'd say Miller is worth MLE, maybe a little more.... Blake is definitely NOT worth MLE... I'd say about 3 mil

Blake might not worth the MLE, but to steal him, thats the money we have to offer IMO. Some team will offer MLE money to him

Just dont over pay Farmar or Brown

I'm tired of
Luke
Radmon
Sasha

having 5.6 mil dollar contracts
