In
Rudy Fernandez
Greg Oden

Out
Ramon Sessions
Kevin Love

Flynn / (Rubio)
Brewer / Ellington
Gomes / Fernandez
Jefferson
Milicic / Oden

Portland says NO fcking way.
While Love would be great as a part of the rotation they're not giving away Oden to get him, just no.
Rudy x Flynn or Rudy x Ellington + the Jazz pick could be an option.

And both options would be incredibly awful for the Wolves.

Despite getting beaten over the head every year, POR fans refuse to accept that "next year" won't be the year that Oden is a superstar. No team can offer enough to satisfy POR fans. I leave him out of every POR trade.

Based on what we've seen year after year from Oden, I think this is too much to pay.

The question with Oden is if he can stay healthy. If he does, he'll be the piece that turn the Blazers into contenders. His impact early this season was HUGE. Even with a very limited role in the offense his PER was among the top of the league and changed a game with his defensive presence.
Love will never give them what a healthy Oden can, they'd be a middle of the road team but nothing else.

So what do you want? Rudy x Ellington straigh up?

There's your problem. You think that's still a question.

I don't want Rudy at all.

Then why giving away Love for a player who'd be retired in 2 years?

Portland fans are emulating english soccer fans using "The Fernando Torres song" of the Anfield Road crowd (Liverpool FC stadium) for try convince him to stay in Portland.

This is crazy,it seems nobody wants see Rudy out of Portland, but if he stay, then he can't play.

Sincerely, it would be more useful sing "God Save MacMillan", with the Sex Pistols song.

Shrink, Klomp, you should know better.

Watched the whole second half of the Lakers/Blazers game yesterday. Roy was out with a knee injury, so Fernandez started:

http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=300411013

His final line in 37 minutes was 9 points and 6 assists (+7.) Not bad, and certainly better than the wing players the Wolves currently have. He made a couple of really nice passes, but was mostly a supporting player as Andre Miller took the lead at the start of the 2nd half.

He could put some weight on still (Van Gundy had a funny line when he asked who would win a pushup contest between Fernandez and Vujacic) but I'm a fan. Maybe it's just McMillan's system, but he and Miller didn't play well at the same time, just as Fernandez seems to be limited by playing with Roy. I stand by my earlier statement that he needs the ball in his hands primarily to reach his potential.

Made a short video of some of his passes vs the Lakers, two of them to alley-oop:

I wouldn't mind Fernandez in MN as long as the price is not too high. I'd give up the CHA pick for Fernandez

Sessions for Rudy seems fair to me. Give PDX the chance to give Bayless SG burn and when healthy, Roy/Webster/Batum is stacked enough at the 2/3. Otherwise they will have to sign a PG anyways, Bayless is no PG
