This news is well worth dealing with Cito's idiocy in today's game.

Cecil should have been in the rotation from the beginning.

Really like watching Cecil. He has some good stuff. Like you said I don't know why he wasn't in the rotation at the beginning of this season. He finished strong last year and had a solid spring training.

He sliced his finger, and as a result was a little behind the curve in Spring Training. As such, they decided to send him to AAA as a pressure-free way to get into the swing of things, with the expectation that he'd be the first guy up, IIRC.
