Phils vs. Giants (I think the Giants win the west & in a 3 game series I don't see any team beating that rotation)

Yankees vs. Rays (honestly, it could just as easily be the Angels instead of the Rays)

Yankees vs. Phillies in the WS again.

Yankees and Phillies. I think Roy Halladay was an amazing pick up by the phils. And he knows the yankees and has faced them many times as a jay.

Phils win title

My problem with this logic is that Cliff Lee pitched about as well as anyone could against the Yankees in the last world series. So let's say Roy matches that, or even outperforms that.....that's still only 2 wins. Where do the other wins come from?

I just don't see how the Phillies have leapfrogged the Yankees.

I agree and that's usually the point I use when arguing about that with my friends (who are Philly fans). Only advantage I can think of is that he can pitch on 3 days rest, where Lee couldn't.

Ok if Roy does match what Lee did ( even if he does better ) it will all depend on the rest of the rotation especailly Cole
