would you guys do that? Diop + Henderson for Calderon?

I wouldn't add a young prospect like Henderson if the only return was Calderon.

but were taking Diop...why would we do it without a young prospect in return.

The difference between Diops contract (who doesnt play at all) vs Calderon (whos are starting PG and serviceable, overpaid yes but this is his worst year in his career so your buying low) is 2.5 million

no way we do a Diop/Calderon swap without incentive, i mean come on. Both contracts end the same year too so its not even like we shed a year off Calderons deal. Calderon had a down year but hes still fairly young in terms of years in the league (28 years old, 4 years in the league) and yes he had a down year but this is his worst year ever, you cannt expect that to continue. As i said your buying low.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I'm ok with that. You can keep Jose. I'd rather Jack any ways.

and you dont really have anything that wed want for Jack so no deal. You arent going to give Jackson or Wallace for Jack so we arent really interested.

Wait - are you suggesting that Jack's value is that of Gerald Wallace?

no, im suggesting you have nothing remotely interesting to us to trade Jack. Those are the only 2 that wed be interested in and if you took the time to read i said "you arent going to give us Jackson or Wallace for Jack" other than that what do you have? DJ? How does that keep Bosh. Henderson? hasnt been anything close to good this season. Expiring contracts, dont do much for us. You dont have a 1st round pick for a while, we dont want Diaw so i just dont think you have anything minus those 2 that wed even be interested in.

If Bosh left, and we were rebuilding i might be interested in a DJ + Filler for Jack swap but our main objective is to keep Bosh so thats why we dont want to trade Jack (Boshs best friend)

I'd be willing to have Jack be PG going forward if Bosh bolts though. Diop can help you rebuild, he is very strong.

Bosh to OKC, Jack to Charlotte, Diop to Toronto.

Sounds like a plan.

39.8% from 3, 56.9 TS%. He is admittedly a terrible defender, but this is less of an issue on a team like the Bobcats where 2 through 5 can defend. And his offense is fantastic, and he is great in the PnR.

He looks bad on defense in part because he spends lots of time on the floor with Hedo Turkoglu and Andrea Bargnani.

If you could turn Diop into Calderon, you should immediately do it.

The Bobcats gained their rep as a defensive team because everyone on the team plays defense. Jose can't even guard his own shorts.

Jose is the kind of a guy that most wouldn't mind getting for cheap and in a 6th man role. No doubt his shooting would help out a team thats routinely dominated by zone d. Still, its easy for a guy to be a good PnR point guard when he's got guys like Bosh and Barg - and I think that they make him look better than he really is. Who would he run that with in Charlotte? Alexis Ajinca's untapped potential? Jose isn't really a better option for this team than Felton.

Also, why would Toronto want Henderson? They've already got two young SG prospects in Derozan and Weems.

I'd rather make a cheaper bid for Delonte West. We don't have enough neck tats on the team, Delonte can hit jumpers, and is a solid/long defender. He also wouldn't have any issues with coming off the bench, and Cleveland would like to get someone like Nazr as a bigger contract who will expire next year, and another big they can stash on the bench. They have Gibson singed to a longer contract to fill that first guard/designated shooter role for the next few years anyways. Something like:

Nazr
2011 2nd rounder

for

West
Powe

They gain an extra big body, we get a shooter/back up PG and

I'd rather have TJ Ford and Brandon Rush playing for the Bobcats than Calderon. Get Indiana to take Diop and Felton and I'll happily take Ford and Rush before Calderon.

Jose is owed over 29 mil over the next three years, DIop is owed less then 21 mil over those same three years. Word is you can buy the #18 for 3 mil this year. I think you can see where this is going.

(disclaimer: I'm not saying I would do that, just looking at reasons for it)

The other qway to look at it is that without moves we would have Diop (let just consider him just a deadweight) and either no starting PG (actually only one PG) or resigned Felton for let's say 6,5 M first year. By getting Calderon we would get starting PG losng just a piece of dead weight (and some incentives).
a) Felton 6.5M + Diop 6.5M = 13M
b) Calderon 9M
c) FA starting PG ?M or FA backup PG (with DJ starting) + Diop = 6.5 + ? M
So basically the question is whether 4M discount is reason good enough to switch from Felton to Calderon and his lenghty contract when we need to re-sign Tyrus etc. and if so which incentives should TOR or CHA or both throw in.

Of course Gana is still a big body to throw at opposite centers but unless we do something with the expiring section of our frankencenter we are not really in a sheer need of big bodies. And there is always an option to throw Lexy in the water instead.
