As far as VDN not listening to the medical staff, our players had the chance to go silent on their support of Vinny (due to him 'risking' Noah's health for 2 extra minutes) but they did the opposite, and stood up and supported him.

Noah himself had prior to that game, talked several times about the frustration of not being able to be out there longer. So I don't think he was angry at Vinny over it, probably the opposite.

Noah isn't part of the medical staff, that's great he wanted to play, but what difference does it make? Are you suggesting the Bulls not listen to medical advice if the player is frustrated?

It's possible someone will like the fire and it end up being a positive.

I find that very hard to believe. In fact much harder to believe than the opposite, that its more likely to be a negative. I don't think any coach would find it a positive that the VP might come down to his office after a tough game and get into a altercation with him.

I think JVG was right to say that his comments on the incident were obvious ones, that would be mirrored by many coaches around the league.

of course he wasn't angry, that's a competitors nature. All true competitors want to be out there on the floor. How many quotes came out about Grant Hill during the series that he shouldn't have played in? In the end I really don't see this as a huge deal one way or another, it's a highly competitive industry and **** happens. Pax screwed up, it's been said he wanted to address it earlier but was advised not to. He came out said the right things and they moved on. JVG made some comments about it, oh well. It isn't like he sought out a media outlet to comment on it. It was part of his job as an Analyst for TNT and tiegate was the subject at hand.

I agree it would suck if we didn't consider JVG over his comments, but as of now he hasn't been given an interview or been passed over for an interview. I'd like to see how things play out before my mind is made up on they manage their coaching search. As of right now I really don't think they need to do anymore damage control....other than showing a well run coaching search/hire.

Sure we do. Van Gundy discussed the incident post-apology and still echoed the same opinions he originally voiced.

We went over this and in that same interview he voiced a number of positives about the organization. You dismiss those because they don't support your argument.

I'm going over the history of the conversation. Just because you now say your central point is that there's a possibility this could be bad, doesn't dismiss all that went on before in this thread.

If Paxson were to be fired, I think there is far less chance the incident would have a chance to hurt the organizations reputation going forward. That's is called making an observation.
