That seems reasonable, still most likely to stay in his hometown, but if he leaves it will be to Chicago or NY.

A little surprised they have the Nets over Miami...Miami is far closer to a title and a better city than NJ. Jay-Z has some ownership there but it's not like he actually runs the Nets.

Definitely crossing the fingers the Nets dont get the 1st pick. . Hoping Sac gets the 1st pick.

Sac will have enough or just a tiny tad under the max themselves, so although Wall/Evans would be awesome, let's just play it safe and shoot for Golden State or Philly or something. 8-)

Bulls have no backup plan. I have the strangest feeling come Oct 31 they will waste money on a empty jersey in the form of JJ and try to sell the fans on it. And sadly......the UC will continue to be filled and fork $$$ over for either a first round exit or lottery.

Derek (North Carolina)

Chances of Bulls landing Lebron? Do you think Rose and James would be able to work well together on the same team?

Chris Sheridan (3:48 PM)

If you want me to put a percentage on it, I'll say this: Right now I would guess the percentage scoreboard reads Chicago/Miami/NY 30 percent each, Cleveland 5 percent and NJ/LAC 5 percent. That's my opinion only, and that's my May 17 opinion.

Coming from a big NY homer like Sheridan, thats not bad. He's never going to let go of the Knick dream. But his reasoning for NJ's chances being so low are believable.

The Mecca (NY)

Chris i'm getting scared we might end up with Joe Johnson and resigning David Lee.

Chris Sheridan (3:43 PM)

I've mentioned this in a couple columns and chats, and it bears repeating: The reading I get from people in the know is that Joe has no interest in playing in NY. He's from Little Rock, he's a quiet guy, and he just wouldn't be the right fit. As far as Lee goes, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world (if they don't get LeBron) to keep him and divvy up the remaining cap space on 3-4 value players. What's going to be key for the Knicks is how much time LeBron takes to decide. If it's a long time, they could lose Lee in the interim.

John (LA)

The Clippers have the BEST supporting cast out of all the teams that can sign Lebron..........why are they never even mentioned by any of the major ESPN analysts as being a possible destination?

Chris Sheridan (3:54 PM)

John, I list them down in Nets territory because as great as the allure is in both places (Jay-Z friendship/Hollywood lifestyle), I think that is more than offset by the Clippers' second-class citizen status in LA, which is never going away, and the Nets two-year purgatory in Newark while they wait for the Brooklyn Arena to be built. In NY construction circles, a two-year project often means a three- or four-year project, and I'm skeptical they'll get that building up by the start of the 2012-13 season.

Source: LeBron Likely To Join Chicago Bulls
17 May, 2010

A source with direct knowledge of the Chicago Bulls front office's plans has said The Chicago Tribune that the Bulls are happy with their team’s compostion and are confident that Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng will successfully surround LeBron James when it makes its case with the free agent to-be on July 1.

Not sure how reliable their source is or if they are recycling someone else's news, but regardless, another national outlet touting the Bulls as the favorite to land him.

Send LeBron to Chicago is shooting to put up billboards. One in Chicago, and they are considering one in Cleveland. I'm supporting them, yet I still feel like that's a little too desperate for my liking.

^^That's a little too New York for my liking. Ugh. What a waste of money. That money could be better used in buying the sure to skyrocket in price season tickets or individual game plans.

Don't ever expect to pay less than 100 bucks/bargain prices for your 100 level Bulls tix again if we get LeBron. That deal I got for the Pistons game in December - 60 bucks on Stubhub for 100 level seats - will probably never happen again.

Expect LeBron, Rivers to Flow to Chicago

He's going to the Chicago Bulls.

Trust me.

Oh, and here's another thing: When LeBron James switches his dribbling home around the Great Lakes from Erie to Michigan, he'll bring his own coach with him.

It'll be Doc Rivers.

Now you can move on with the rest of your lives.

Interesting opinion piece by Fanhouse. Brought a new name to the coaching search in Doc Rivers.

Might make some sense SINCE Gar said they could wait to see what coaches were availible when the playoffs ended.

Anyone who writes the following doesn't know ****:

Which brings us to something that made no sense at the time. In November, James emerged from the ozone -- and not because of the rocket boosters in his legs -- to say that he wished to change the number on his Cleveland uniform from 23 to 6. He said he wanted to do so out of respect for Jordan, his hero, whose No. 23 is retired with the Bulls.

Which means that, if James ever wanted to become a Bull someday, he would have to switch numbers.

Which means this wasn't a coincidence: James completed paperwork in March with the NBA for a number change, and it will become official for the 2010-2011 -- with James in Chicago.

So why didn't this make sense back then? Well, No. 6 belongs to Bill Russell and Julius "Dr. J" Erving. In other words, if James is so into respecting the greats of the past, he also wouldn't have taken No. 6. He did it, anyway, because he was preparing for Chicago.

As was widely reported at the time that paperwork only has meaning for the number a player wears for his current team. A player switching teams in the offseason does not have to submit the paperwork - he can just change his number.

If the number change suggests anything, it suggests LeBron envisioned himself staying in Cleveland.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

Heh, that’s some headline.

Source: BR0D1E86 likely to bed Scarlett Johansson

A source with direct knowledge of BR0D1E86’s personal life said that he recently viewed a commercial for the movie Iron Man 2, a film in which Johansson co-stars. In response to her brief, 2 second appearance on the screen BR0D1E86 reportedly had the thought, “I wouldn’t kick her out of bed.”

Done deal. I’m in.

Return to Chicago Bulls
