it's possible that lebron would honestly see wade as some asterisk on his career..but if he really feels threatened by wade being the number one..that's about as stupid to me as him not wanting chicago cuz of jordan's legacy. If he truly is about winning, he'll choose the situation that offers him the best chance of it, and he's lebron friggin james..he won't be shamelessly ring chasing like gary payton or shaq..he'll be the best player on any team he's on.
I don't think people think lebron and wade wouldn't work on the court..but if anyone does that's pretty ridiculous. Everyone talks about how unselfish lebron is and it's true..and i'm sure wade could handle a lesser scoring role if it meant winning more games (he didn't seem to relish doing everything for miami with no help whatsoever..and who can blame him?) Would his pride not be able to handle wade getting spotlight time? First of all that'd be unbelievably childish and stupid of lebron, second of all i don't think they'd piss on each others parade, they'd just put one bitchin party together. 2 people sharing the spotlight doesn't have to make you less popular than if you were alone. I know the celtics may not be the best example since they were old guys, but from a marketing, popularity standpoint..do you think garnett, allen, or pierce, hurt their individual popularity by ditching their crappy teams where they were the clear cut leader? I wouldn't say so.
Again i'm not saying there's no way lebron thinks playing with wade is a bad idea and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot, just like i won't say that lebron doesn't think playing in MJ's shadow is a bad thing. Who knows what he thinks. All i'm saying is in my opinion...if he truly thinks either of those things, he's an idiot that's not looking for his greatest basketball interest whatsoever.
