Not sure how you come to everyone wants to live there.

Its nifty how many national monuments you have but I think that makes it so everyone wants to VISIT there.

Wtf: I was just posting why I thought some people might not want to live there. I guess you guys have dropped down the list a bit but your still like top 5 at the very worst in most crime.

the biggest crime would be Lebron in a Wiz uniform. Just say no.

I just judge by how many outsiders come here and stay, partially because the economy's better around here. Crime rate (other than the White House and capitol Hill (regardless of who's in office) is lower than Cleveland. Not really interested in Lebron though. Looking for a winner.

That's the reality you can hate it but you can't deny it, bottomline.

That's far from reality, and is easy to deny. Nothing there to hate. Cleveland'll be lucky to get anything like that from anyone.

Don't you mean very best? I don't think we make the top 10, and that's of large cities. Camden smokes them all, but didn't have enough games played. People move to Moscow or Paris, two cities filled with crime. I've been to some extremely safe and clean cities where the biggest danger was dying of boredom. Rich people can live anywhere. You can't.

Moreover, why would the Wizards - who have plenty of cap space - need a sign and trade to acquire L_B___ if he's willing to come to DC?

IBTL. This kind of tripe should be in the trade thread, where it can be pilloried or ignored alongside the other poor trade offers fanboys like to come up with.

the extra 30 mil, bud, Lebron is not leaving that to the table and Cleveland will not sign and trade him without getting assets back.

LeBJ's signing a 3-year deal, then signing a new deal when he's a 10-year vet (or at least having an escape after 3 years). Cleveland won't have an extra year to give.

Quieter. Houses are probably cheaper. The majority of the Capitals all live in Northern Virginia.

The DC metro area is the richest area is the country. Have you ever been here? Fairfax, Loudon, Mongomery county? Heck PG county is the richets majority minority county in the country too.

LOL! DC is awesome, people magazine has labelled it the best place to live for people in the age group of 20-30. You walk around and you see it, it is young and mostly female! If I was a millionaire, I would move back to Manhatten, but DC is definitely the second best city in the US to me because it has a great mix of culture and is actually CENTRALIZED. If I ever move I will definitely miss the black tie open bar events there is no way any city does 1/10 as many as DC does.

For people with real money our club scene does suck though L2, shadowroom or what ever new spot gets old fast. There is definitely not enough variety. I think we work better for Hockey players because we have a decent Electronic music scene in DC and a young eastern european population that likes to party.

Now is a good time to buy season tickets they are selling some lover levels for 30 dollars a seat.

THIS IS LEBRONS TEAM. Wade practically begged LeBron to cum, of course he had to give up some things to convince Lebron that it was worth it to join him in miami.

No shot at Lebron, no matter how hard you wish, dlts. WWW and his agent Rose will not steer him to Washington, it is as simple that. dlts, the Bulls have a better roseter, simply because: A. Rose is better then anybody on Washington, including a healthy Arenas and B: The Bulls were a playoff team because of Rose and Noah.

Before the draft, I'd have agreed with you. But now, I don't know. Wall is a game changer. He could be just as good as Rose in time. Arenas is a legit 25 ppg scorer & Andray Blatche was basically a 20/10 guy the 2nd half of last season.

I guess some of it depends on what the Bulls do with Deng. I don't believe for a second that the Cavs would take Deng's contract in a S&T for LeBron so their division rival can sign another max player like Bosh or Wade to go with their former star. That's about as unrealistic as scenario as one could imagine.

The Wizards could sign LeBron to a max deal, keep the cap holds on Singleton & Livingston AND STILL carve out enough room to sign a veteran FA center at close to $5 mil.

PF Blatche / PF Gibson
SF James / SF James
CE McGee / CE Noah
SG Arenas / SG Hinrich
PG Wall / PG Rose

Honestly, I think the Wizards roster looks FAR more explosive offensively. Add a vet center with the rest of the cap room and its a serious contender that only needs some seasoning. Unless Chicago can somehow flip Deng for another major piece (and I have my doubts), Chicago will be a PF away from truly being legit.

The problem is the Wiz players, literally, are all question marks compared to their Chicago counterparts. And they don't D up. And Noah is a billion times better than Mcgee.

Still, Washington's got the higher potential.

You don't hear much talk about Noah's potential or how good he'll be if he ever gets it. Most people (myself included) take him to be more or less following a predicted trajectory. McGee's potential has, on the other hand, dominated discussions about him, if he would learn rotations at both ends, learn to pass the ball, learn to stay in front of his man, learn to do something other than block or alley opp. It's surprising then how much closer statistically McGee and Noah look, with Noah clearly the better defender and rebounder, and passer, McGee the better scorer (he has a weapon) and shot blocker. McGee has a higher PER in his first season, second season, and for his career.

I'd trade McGee for Noah right now (easily), but not a billion McGees. By the end of next year, maybe I wouldn't trade one. McGee may never realize his potential, but he still has potential. A lot of it. Other teams are waiting for DC to give up on him, depressing in his value and making him a bargain to scoop up.

PS: WALL!!!!! Forget LeBJ. Go after a player w/ that's a winner. His short sale, value-added, mezzanine tier, speculative depression model universe is just too messy to project into anything but shoe sales. He's a complicated man, but no one understands him but his agent...

Yeah but Blatche and the 1st make your proposed deal a no-go.

Then you don't get lebron, like Blatche and John Wall will equal the impact that Bron will have on any team he joins. You can field 4 scrubs on the floor with Lebron and still be competitive.

But LeBron and the team acquiring him are not interested in being competitive. It would be about getting a championship, so you can't gut the team acquiring him. I think LeBron would go to the Knicks or Bulls before he would agree to that S&T.

Besides not gutting the team there are 3 other factors that would depress S&T value. There are other options(I am sure Toronto would jump at Blatche for Bosh) and 2 the Wizards could flat out sign a max guy if other teams are not doing a S&T. The final thing is the there is no sense of urgency on the Wizards side. The Wizards have one player who has been a star(Arenas), one who is close(Blatche) and one who has potential(McGee) in addition to adding an impact PG(Wall).

Noah bring defense, rebounding, and infectious hustle while still helping his team on offense. That is exactly what a center needs to do. A center that can't play defense or grab rebounds, which right now McGee can't, isn't worth a ham sandwich.

I hope he will improve. With Wall, I think the odds have improved. But he is just such a bonehead on the defensive end...

Lebron will never leave those Metroparks in Cleveland.

Return to Washington Wizards
