Granted on 1 hand we could have gotten the 4th pick and THAT would've sucked on the other hand we could've gotten the 1st or 2nd pick which would have been awesome.
On the bright side were getting a player that has all star potential and fills a need.
Granted we might be out of the Lebron running but we're we ever really there?
Btw there's no doubt in my mind that Cousins is our guy, not Favors.
Trust me... As a Blazer fan, landing the #1 pick is not always what you hope it to be! (sigh)

If it was me it's a no brainer--take Greg Monroe to play PF. Cousins really is a 5 and Favors is a hybrid 5 and both have ?marks
Monroe is the complete player here--he really was impressive this year with his increase in rebounding the ball and his passing game is already at a very high NBA skill level. He can post and hit the mid range and I just see good quality synergy with Lopez--truly I think it's a very sold way to go. I would NOT be upset by this.

I watched a lot of his freshman year at GT and he never wow-ed me, never. Not explosive, little bit of post moves but the toughness just wasnt there. There were many games where i was waiting for him to go after the shot (ala Howard) but i was always disappointed. He looked good on some alley-oops but thats about it, heck, Sean Williams can also do that and can block better than he does.
Sometimes we just get too pumped with these young guys athleticism and long frame but thats not always the case. Think of Ibaka with no hussle, no aggresiveness and no stamina. Coming out after his disappointing freshman year is already a big warning, so i dont think RT is that stupid to even think about drafting this guy with our first pick. I predict that some GM's picking early would pass on him and he will end up between 7-10th pick. And to be honest to y'all, the first time i watched Favors play, i was surprised with his game because, as a freshman, he was so aggressive and his teammates were always looking for him until i realized it was Gani Lawal.
So no Favors pls and Lawal for our 27th or 31st pick!!!łl
Also, if you want to get a better feel for Cousins game, just think of Nene Hilario with better rebounding, nicer touch around the rim, better post moves etc.
