Cleveland accepts because of roster space reduction. These guys were all going to play minimal roles on the team. I'd rather get Diop back instead of waiving them all. Plus I needed a third string C/PF that was an upgrade from Hamed

Portland accepts the revised trade.

Other teams - don't have to accept because you're still sending/receiving the same stuff. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll ask r0cd0gg to approve it later.

OKC Outgoing: 2013 second round draft pick for Hairston.

All deals are minimum salary incomming.

We did this for minimum salary we need for future deals, we virtually give up nothing.

good dealing.

Chicago and New Jersey have reached a deal

Chicago trades:

Luol Deng - $11,345,000
17th pick

for

Courtney Lee - $1,352,640
27th pick

New Jersey is something like 30 million under the cap, so this deal works

Chicago loses Deng's huge contract and the cap hold of a pick where we didn't like anyone on the board, and we get a young, role-playing shooting guard who's cheap and can either start next to Rose or be a solid 6th man

Prior to accepting the deal Nets Wave our bird rights to Bobby Simmons, Tonny Battie, Rafer Alston, Jarvis Hayes, and Chris Quinn. In additiona we also waive our bird rights to all other unsigned free agents where Nets owns the Bird Rights.

Nets accept the proposed deal above. We absorb salaries but we also absorb talent and move up in the draft. Deng is still young at 24/25 and would be a nice defensive stopper at 3 spot. Lee will be missed especially his shooting.

Following is our current salary structure:

Image

+ cap hold for draft #3 of roughly 4 million equals total salary of roughly 26 million. Cap space is 55 million so this trade work.

Cleveland and Detroit have come to complete a deal:

Cleveland trades:

Mo Williams-$9,300,000
Jawad Williams-$1,000,000

Detroit trades:
Rodney Stuckey-$2,767,126
Jason Maxiell-$5,000,000
DeJuan Summers-$1,000,000

Cleveland accepts...the Mo Williams experiment has not worked. He seems to sputter out late in the season and has some personality issues down the stretch. Cleveland is also trying to make our squad younger...something we believe will be attractive to LeBron James. At 24 years old, Stuckey still has ten years of allstar basketball ahead of him. We also solidify our back-up PF spot with a "Big banger" who has a thirst for rebounds. He's a nasty fellow that you don't want to face off the bench.

Detroit accepts this. ^^^^ My initial goal was to move Hamilton or Gordon, so that way I would I could move Stuckey into a starting shooting guard role. I felt that Stuckey clearly is not a point guard and he needs to be used as such. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a deal that would benefit my team whatsoever, so I decided to go out and get a rugged point guard that reminds me of Billups. Mo Williams is a fearless playmaker that flies under the radar, and is exactly the top of guy we need to get my show on the road. He's already made one all star game and has several good years ahead of him. Stuckey I feel, has already reached his peak (admittedly is a good peak) but he's not the next D-Wade everyone was hoping he would be. He has poor decision making abilities and certainly gets rushed in the game, often taking shots early in the shot clock. But he is a special talent, I simply have no room for him anymore.

I am also excited to get from under Maxiell's deal, while not monsterous, certainly is unnecessary. As we can find many powerforwards that does what he brings for a lot cheaper.

Cleveland and Charlotte have come to a deal:

Cleveland trades:
Jared Jeffries-$6,883,400
Darrel Arthur-$1,123,680
Sebastian Telfair-$2,700,000
David Andersen-$2,500,000

Total: 13,207,708

Charlotte trades:
Tyson Chandler-$12,750,000

Total: $12,750,000

Cleveland accepts...We needed a starting quality center and Chandler is just that. We feel that Charlotte underutilized him last season and that he will come back from his injury problem 100%. He will go back to his New Orleans numbers this season. He'll be a ten and ten guy that we can count on all year.

Portland and LA Lakers have reached agreement on a trade.

Portland Trades:

Jerryd Bayless - $2,292,600
2012 1st Round Pick

LAL Trades:

Donatas Motiejunas - $1,181,800
DJ White - $1,108,680

Portland Accepts. We like Bayless but feel he's not the right kind of point guard for this team. Motiejunas is quite raw but we like his potential as a big man to spread the floor alongside Dwight, or create mismatch issues. DJ White is another solid prospect, which means we now have a strong front court rotation and depth chart.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

3.314263 x 1.25 + .1 = 4.24282875 > 4.050499

It's clear at this point that the Suns need a front court commited to rebounding. Murphy gives us a very nice way to spread the floor while still augmenting our poor rebounding. His 3pt shot plays very well into PHX's style.

Minnesota and Philadelphia have a trade.

MIN in / PHI out:
EricGordon $2,819,880
Mareese Speights $1,658,280
Total = $4,478,160

PHI in / MIN out:
Kevin Love $3,638,280

Trade works, and in any event MIN has plenty of cap space

Minnesota accepts. Hate giving up Love. We gamble that the limited progress shown by Gordon and Speights last year was the result of bad teams, bad coaching, and injuries, in order to fill our need for a SG and add a face-up big who will complement Jefferson better than Love does. If, that is, he starts playing any defense.
