free agents. They don't need cap space next season but now and that first round
pick has to be accounted for.

I liked the deal with just Koufos and Hinrich coming to Portland with an exchange
of first round picks. They could have Portland's second round pick (#44) if that
helps for its not likely most second round picks could make Portland's roster.

I don't think I'll dump our first round pick. We still gotta pick somebody out there to fill our bench, especially in the SG position.

To any extent, Hinrich and Webster is about the same, and Deng for AK is not really that attractive for us.

I'd disagree about AK not being attractive (especially from a long term perspective - this deal could set up Chicago to add another big name next year, IIRC), but that might just be me.

Is there any reasonable sweetener any of the teams could provide?

Here are this year's draft measurements in case anyone was curious

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?page=&year=2010&sort2=DESC&draft=0&pos=0&sort=11

What surprised me was Cole Aldrich is only 6'9" w/o shoes

**I would like to reiterate, the Hornets are looking to move up in the 12-15 range and are willing to fetch the 16th/23rd picks to do so. Calling Memphis, Toronto, Houston and Milwaukee. Thanks.

The thing is though next years expiring contract does nothing to lure the current years free agents to their team. SG's are mostly a dime a dime a dozen and the Toronto heavily mortgaged their team last year to outbid Portland for Hedo so any team can fill out their roster without a first round pick.

I just think Chicago is not going to take on any salary before Lebron and the premier free agents make their decisions. There will be a market for the mid-level type of free agents who can be signed quickly while these premier free agents decide and I think that's where a team like Portland is most likely going to go for the teams that have cap space will not waste it on overpaying for a mid level free agent like a Travis Outlaw.

Hmm, I don't think there's really anything that will work honestly. Miami doesn't really have anything that has close to Iguodala's value (well Wade obviously). Sorry.

I'm actually wondering if Memphis, Toronto, and Houston have people controlling them at the moment.

If not, I think a MOD needs to go ahead and pick for them so we can move it along - just don't pick who I'm trying to move up for!!!!!!!! LOL

Can GSWhoops change the title of the thread to say that there are spots open?

No, sorry. Cousins is not being moved unless I get blown out of the water - same with Rubio.

This should be interesting RTM.

I feel like JJ is our best option at starting PF next season.

Daye, I would also like to keep. He was considered a bit of a project when we picked him last year at #15, so his lack of numbers his season isn't that big of a deal to me. I still have some hope for him.

I'd be willing to include Summers, if he interests you at all.

My offers are still on the table. I'm open to tweaking them, but I feel like I've made clear what I hope to get out of them.

I could live with Green, Kapono, Smith for Rip, 2nd, Summers if that gets it done.
