ok but when dealing with players potential the ones who usually reach it are the ones who have a great work ethic and attitude. and that's the same reason Eddy curry couldn't ever reach his potential

Hey..not gonna argue you there. Great work ethic + great attitude = increased effort. Increased effort typically leads to an increased likelihood of potential maximization. So from that end, we will just see what happens from here.

Yeah, what Falk said is what we've all been saying. LeBron to Chicago doesn't make ANY sense. It will not happen. It is the media red herring.

Did you notice that there were no quotes from Falk that had anything to do with New York?

But Noah (along with Rose) have already proven that they can peform at a high level at the highest of levels. What Gallo might be cant change that.

So with that said, I can respect how you guys feel about Gallo so long as you guys can respect how we feel about the value of our young guys.

I live in chicago and talk to a lot of Bulls fans and too many of them talk about Noah like an elite center, but frankly he just doesn't have the offense. He plays good D and is a high caliber rebounder, but he's not going to be a major part of a good offense. That's what he's proven.

Gallo has proven that he's at least a great shooter, great at getting to the line, good passer, clever defender and he fights for boards. Those are things he has proven in the NBA. You can question how he'll do in the playoffs but I think that's foolish when his entire life gallo has stepped up to every challenge, and in the NBA he's shown that when we let him he's clutch. See the Orlando game where he shot us back in or the Melo game where he went toe to toe with one of the NBA's best scorers or the final 10 games of the season where we freed him from his corner and dude put up 20 a night as David Lee's robin.

Again, I will buy into all that when I see enough of it. From what I have seen of Gallo so far, he is a big that can shoot it and help spread the floor. If he turns out to be Dirk East, that will be GREAT for you guys. But in general, people dont believe it unless they see it and I am no exception.

As far as Noah, he is not a superstar center. However, he is a very very good center, which is a luxury in a league where true centers are not falling off of trees. So...when you can get one that is averaging a double double with great defense and elite passing ability for his position, you tend to be a little excited about the kid. What, can Bulls fans not be excited about Noah's upside but NY cant be estatic over Gallo's?

Don't put words in my mouth bro. I never said Bulls fans can't be excited, but what you said is a lot more reasonable that what I hear from damn near the majority of Bulls fans I talk to in real life. I just think he's offensive limitations negate a lot of the other good things he does.

As for Gallo that's fair, you'll see more of him and realize that he's not just a jump shooter, if you had put yourself through the misery of following the Knicks all year you'd have seen that when we put the ball in Gallo's hands he did a great job of driving to the hoop and making good things happen, plus he has a great knack for drawing contact for a 21 year old who got to the line at an astonish rate once we let him have the ball with more than a second or two on the clock. When you add to that that he's a very smart passer of the ball and good defender, rebounder and competitor all at 6'11" and that's a player that isn't falling off trees either. I've been following this kid for a while now and he's far more talented than you're giving him credit for by saying that he's just a guy who can shoot and stretch the court. But I understand you like most people who like to talk about Gallo but are neither Masochists nor Knicks fans, but I repeat myself, and didn't put themselves through this season of knicks basketball don't understand all Gallo has shown.

These are the types of things that happen when you are trying to support an argument that doesnt make a damn bit of sense to begin with. Noah is more respected in this league than Gallo because Noah has flat out proven more. Please...talk to everyone when Gallo proves something when it counts.....in the playoffs. You guys are sucking on the Gallo juice way too hard in my honest opinion. I mean...I like the guy's potential too. But as it currently stands, thats all that Gallo is..potential. Until he proves something, he is nothing. I remember when a prime Shaq had the best things to say about Eddie back when he was with the Bulls. Even went as far as to say that Eddie would be a top 3 center in the league. Now you tell me how that one is working out.

I know I know...the truth can taste nasty as hell sometimes, but it is often a necessary evil. And I will say it again...I will be the first person to come to this board and grab my slice of crow pie when Gallo turns into everything that you guys say he is gonna be. I hope the guy becomes a star. Id love to see our two teams doing battle again in the playoffs. But I just cant but into the Gallo hype at this point.

This is Gallos 1st healthy year,Noahs 3rd.Gallo is 21 and Noah is 25.Give Gallo 3 healthy years in the NBA and Im sure you will be really impressed. Please stop comparing a 25 year old energy player to a 6'11" sharpshooter.

This is the key point that so many people are missing. LeBron - Bosh - Gallinari would be a young, incredibly talented core.

Honestly, if they get LBJ & Bosh they will be the favorites to win the East next year. The other pieces will just fall into place.

Like gravity.

I wouldn't be so quick. We'd still need size, especially with the Lakers and Celtics to contend with.

We basically need a Perkins or Bynum so we can slide our all-star big-man to PF. This draft is loaded with big men so I'm hoping we buy a pick and move up, or someone falls to the 2nd round.

But after that, I agree. I think players like Gallo, Chandler, Toney Douglas, and Bill Walker will shine as role players with two other stars to draw attention from.

We should be able to land a defensive big with Currys expiring,TChandler,Okafor,Biendis are some that come to mind.I wouldnt be against signing a Tony Battie or Ratliff for the vets min.Once we get the main pieces(the hardest part) the other pieces will fall into place like the BCeltics.

Do you get upset when people call Noah nothing but a high-energy defender with limited offensive skill, ie. Tyson Chandler part deux? Or Rose a low IQ point with no jump shot (despite the fact that he shoots nearly 50% from midrange)? It likely pisses you off cause these people have only watched said player 3-4 times a year, or base their beliefs solely on popular opinion.

Most non-Knick fans believe Gallo is just a 3-pt jumpshooter, who can't defend a girl scout, probably cause he's white and Euro. Those of us who actually watch his games know that he's already proven much more than that. Just cause he hasn't proven himself to casual fans (who really only takes notice of a player when they become a great fantasy stat stuffer), doesn't mean he hasn't proven himself to opposing players, who have already commented on Gallo's scoring ability, from coaches to Dirk/Melo.

Point being, if you don't like it when fans who don't really watch Bulls games make uninformed opinions about your players, stop assuming so much about ours.

This is getting more and more pathetic. I can appreciate the situation the fans, and I guess the whole state of Ohio, are in, but begging and pleading is just getting ridiculous. Of course they should say that they hope he doesn't leave or whatever but this guilt-tripping, begging, anal canal-exposing procession of videos has got to stop. I'm not even saying that as a knick fan who wants lebron to leave cleveland and come to the knicks...I'm saying that in general sense.

I mean this is tantamount to begging and pleading with your current beautiful girlfriend to not leave you because you are so needy and desperate. First of all, if she is giving serious thought in leaving, that's already signs of a strained relationship...of questioning dedication and wandering interests. Second of all, even if she agrees after all your pleading you've managed to keep her around only by means of self-pity and to a certain extent, guilt-tripping. obviously, that's not any kind of foundation for a stable and great relationship. it's just deferring underlying problems to a future point in time. You want players on your team who want to play for your team and for the city the team represents. You don't want players who choose to remain primarily out of some feeling of guilt, rather than being committed and envisioning a championship with the talent at hand. That's just disaster waiting to happen on both sides. Now he may choose to remain in cleveland regardless of all the begging and pleading simply because he feels he has a better chance...but i really think trying to guilt-trip him and show how they quake at every notion of the thought of him leaving the desperate State of Ohio is the wrong approach into trying to get him to stay. Sell the idea of the team, the comfort, the familiarity, whatever...but don't **** beg for his ass to remain. It's just really pitiful...show some self-respect, seriously.

NYers would NEVER resort this nonsensical phagotry and its funny that most of America thinks NYers are arrogant and insensitive for this concept. The truth is we probably just have higher self esteem.

This is pathetic, but what do you call all the hours spent daydreaming, making avatars, photoshopping LeBron in Knick jerseys, creating fictional Bosh for EC sign and trade offers?

Pot calling the kettle black - so Ohioans are beggers and you are Stans.

I just think it's hilarious how you think you are innocent and they are pathetic.

On the flip side, Carter told a confidant last season that he felt visiting the Garden twice a year was exhilarating, but playing there 41 times a season might be too crazy.

I think they misinterpreted that statement, he probably mentioned crazy in the context of being amazing.
