Why for Phoenix:
We didn't expect free agency to turn out quite the way it did and our original plans to put a contender on the floor have failed. Steve Nash and Grant Hill are consumate professionals and teammates and deserve a shot at a ring before they retire; Dallas gives them that opportunity.

In return, we get Ed Davis - a lefty forward with a post game.
Petteri Koponen - a guy our scouts are very high on and someone who can run the backcourt with Dragic.
Victor Claver - a very promising international player with solid range and massive upside.
Miami's 2011 1st
and last, but certainly not least, a great deal of cap space due to Dampier's unique contract.

Though we will attempt to grab a few young players via RFA and FA, we are a team in full rebuild. We own our 2011 1st and will develop accordingly.

Now that PHX has capspace, you're more than welcome to unload salary at the price of a pick (depending, of course).

Nice dealing DAL, POR. Thanks.

Portland Accepts, and I can confirm the deal works financially.

Having landing Flynn, we feel we need a change of direction at point guard. Hinrich was a nice asset and a nice fit, but getting Miller back gives him the guy who I feel will be the better mentor, and is a slightly better playmaker than Kirk. This means I have a nicely balanced backcourt, with a driving/athletic combo at PG, and two shooters at SG.

Adding Young is another nice fit for the team, as it gives me a replacement for Batum at SF for the long-term.

I'm pretty happy with my roster now, with a solid core of Miller/JRich/Turkoglu/Aldridge/Dwight, and nice young backups who all have huge potential and give the opportunity to shake things up a bit, with Flynn/Webster/Young/Pendegraph/Hill.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Dallas accepts its nice to finally get Steve Nash back in Dallas....and feel my team is a good match to his passing abilities. Iguodala athletic SF, Martin scoring SG, Diaw Versatile PF whom Nash has played with before, and B. Lopez a post C who can score....

There has been a veto on this trade. I will wait to see if there are more, before deciding whether to take action.

Hmm, this is a bad precedent. You should really show the salaries/math.

Phoenix and Sacramento have agreed to a trade.

Phoenix in:
Reggie Evans - $5.08m
2012 OKC 1st
2013 OKC 1st

Sacramento in:
Cap Space

Phoenix is well under the cap and can absorb Evans' contract easily.

Draft picks will become very important to us over the next few years and this was a great move towards backfilling our young core with future talent.

*Edit: Switched out 2011 SAC for 2013 OKC

Sac accepts, Evans had no place in our lineup and the two first round picks will be #27 and #27 so they mean nothing to me.

actually they may even be #30....top 4 are all kinda close imho, and i said you #27 cause I dont know if you got G Wallace or not cause that had some veto requests but i guess it went through so #30 would even fit.

Miami - Wade Bosh, Nelson, Battier
Chiacago - Rose LeBron Amare Noah
LA Lakers - Billups Bryant Artest Garnett Nene
Oklahoma City - Parker Durant Wallace Gasol Kaman

are top 4 in any order for the most part

Please update your rosters.

Dallas and Milwaukee agree on a deal
Milwaukee trades:
John Salmons(3 yr deal)($7,987,500)($8,626,500($9,316,620)
2011 Orlando 2nd

Milwaukee Recieves
Jason Terry($9,075,000)

Dallas Trades:
Jason Terry($9,075,000)

Dallas Recieves:
John Salmons(3 yr deal)($7,987,500)($8,626,500($9,316,620)
2011 Orlando 2nd

The reason why Milwaukee accepts this deal is because we weren't able to retain Salmons and we get a true 6th man.

Nazr Mohammed 6.9 million
DJ Augustin 2.5 million

15.2 million x 1.25% + 100k = 19.1 million. Trade works

Jefferson deserves playing somewhere else. Nets get expiring contracts and a young point guard in in DJ Augustin.

Deal accepted, we ged another wing slasher to look to deal away for a starting center.

Garret Temple - $762,195 (unguaranteed)
Charles Garcia - $750,000

in return for

Jonny Flynn - $3,192,000

It was a very tough decision to trade away Batum, but we feel we lack a true long-term solution at Point Guard, and Flynn provides just that. We feel he will be better suited to the offensive style in Portland than the triangle in Minny, and hope he can fulfill his potential here. We would like to wish Batum well for the future.

Accepted...WHY?
We get the ideal 6th man for our team, one who can shoot the three, play just enough defense to matter and yet still be able to score pretty well. He also fits in with the starting 5 pretty well. The only "peice" we really lose here is CDR who we like alot, but this deal overall makes me a better team. Good dealing with you Milwaukee.

Where is DJ White? He's been traded from the same team twice... unless I missed something.

Boston and Indiana have agreed to a deal

Boston will send
DeMarr DeRozan $2,453,880
2011 Golden State 2nd

To Indiana for
Brandon Rush $2,069,040
Dahntay Jones $2,500,000

Boston is under the cap and can take on the extra salary. This gives Indiana a $2,115,160 TPE.

We are sad to lose such a young prospect in DeMarr, but think this deal will help us compete. After landing DLee and locking up the best BIG rotation in the game we think this elivated us into the playoff picture and think we can compete for the top team in the Atlantic Conference. B.Rush is more seasoned and should step into our starting SG spot (moving Rudy be our sniper off the bench). We were impressed with the season Brandon had esspecially his 3pt shooting, (124 3's while shooting over 41%). Jones gives us a defensive bench wing. Welcome to the NEW Boston franchise!

Indiana accepts. For us it is all about fit and flexibility. DeRozan is a much more physical player that slashes to the middle. Indiana already has plenty of shooters but very few guys that are going to be able to get into the middle and open them up. Rush was sort of a bone head, so even though he is a nice young prospect I like DeRozan much more. Also we clear a logjam on the wings (trading a player that won't be back next year) and reduce our salary a bit.
