Poster rating system

Post#1 » by darealslimshady » Wed Jun 9, 2010 2:56 am

Does anybody else think that this website should have some sort of rating system where users rate other users based on post quality. I think that would be pretty cool.

That's a crappy gimmick that small forums use, it wouldn't work here and would cause too many problems.

Hmm I can understand some of the negative aspects of having this feature, but I think you are all ignoring the positive things that it could bring to the table. It would make this forum a lot more lively.

The poster rating system is a fail to me, but a rating system for articles can be useful.

This would be bad.

Posters could write insightful and articulate posts rife with quality only to get voted badly because the wteens on this site didn't agree with it. Of course, some douchebag writes "+1. IBTL" and he'll get high praise from the same group of people.

Quality, sadly is subjective and people will base quality on whether or not the post coincides with their beliefs and opinions.

I do not agree. Maybe other people may behave like this, but I know that I can respect other peoples opinion that are well thought out, and I don't think I am the only one who thinks like this.

I demand realGM implement this system so that I can show my disapproval of this post.

Racist mods trying to keep me down.

there was finally a poster breaking out of oppression to +1 me in support of my struggle and you ban him. One day the fly will revolt....and I wouldn't want to be Yuri then!

edit----- Mags, you have the same code for 2 of the smilies. When you open "view more smilies", the icon between :curse: and  shows up as  . HOWEVER (think screamin a smith) there is also an icon between  and :naaa: that looks like this  . They show up the same but the icons are different.

I would like to use the first option and start calling it my own. Please fix. You can even call it :twz:
