Haven't we all heard sermon after sermon how Nash makes everyone better ? Well does he ? Or was Nash's success a bi-product of the Amazing Amare ? Remember, who got extended? Add a decent Big Man or three into the slurry and watch Gentry and Nash figure out how to maintain this total team concept. Which, IMO, is the reason for our successful season. We ran 10 guys out there like a hockey team. Why was the chemistry good? Most everybody added to the test tube. Guys had confidence. A chance.
And all that chemistry is going to evaporate over losing Stat and Kerr/Griffin? Pretty fragile formula if so. Or does chemistry even matter? It sure was a banner ya'll waved proudly as if it meant something.....
Come on... fair f-n weather boys... undo the nooses and remember that we've been here before.
Stat was 50/50 gone... no surprise. Last I checked, Kerr nor Griffin lace em up for 82. Yet some around here are running around as if it is 12/22/2012. "MY GOD WE LOST A TEMPORARY GM AND HIS BOYWONDER ASSISTANT... WERE DOOOMED"
The bandwagon is departing... and it looks a lot lighter all of a sudden.
Yeah, and we will miss Stat. But if you can honestly say that we are are on our last gasps, then you really are saying this style of play, and lets just call it what it is.... NashBall.... is a gimmick. And then you might shut the window for good and call for a blow up. Which, in a sense, we are positioned to do. Send Nash and his yoyo-ing basketball packing. Throw in the towel... and throw it on Nash.
The off season has just started. Dont pull out your snot rags till we see what have going into Oct. We aren't changing our style, which is still the most entertaining BBall to watch. Believe it or not, I think Sarver knows this. Gentry is here, and he has the loyalty of the remaining cast. We will see just how good our new core is. The Young Ones are going to have to step up their games. We'll pick up a few new pieces and play ball. Stay healthy and there is no way we can be as good or better ? Give me a break. We will be in the mix again. This is a talented team. Just dont over rate them based on last year. But at least give Nash and co some F-n credit. They are not going to lay down and cry like some of you.
BTW, I think Hootie told me these guys went to the WCFs last yr didnt they ? Spread the credit around a bit, they all had a piece of that pie. They all tasted it. And Kerr didn't bake it, Griffin didn't slice it, and Stat didn't serve it. I am not going to under rate their impacts, but, jeezus, the bakery is still open.
Here, I happen to have a couple extra pair.....
