We lose out on some of our cap room, but we at least become relevant again. I'm becoming really unexcited about any of the #10 prospects (or at least the guys I think WE would take at #10). I'm fine with making a pick at #23 instead. Avery Bradley has been dropping down and maybe we get lucky.
MIN fan here. You know, if you had said this 48 hours ago, I'd have simply passed, but after hearing all these bad rumors, this looks a lot more appealing.
Personally, I think Kahn's best play would be to simply wait. People have forgotten what an offensive threat Jefferson is, and focus on his injury from over a year ago and his salary. I think he is likely to gain a lot more trade value if MIN simply waits to deal him at the trade deadline, over two years from his injury. He missed no games for health last year, he showed great monthly gains in production until his grandmother died, and his numbers the previous years (ages 22-24) were comparable with the best bigs in the game. Unfortunately, I think Kahn may feel he needs to make a big change in the team in the next 48 hours, and I think he may be focused on selling Jefferson low.
