I wouldn't be disappointed with Livingston, but the only guy on that list I really care about is Miller. Absolutely no excuse, with our resources, to not throw the MLE at this guy. None.

I'm all for Miller but ever since Livingston's injury, I rarely got a chance to seen this dude play. How reliable is he?

He's a baller, he's regained a lot of his explosiveness as you can see in these highlights.

Larry Hughes is clearly the best fit for Phil's big guard/veteran desire. He's very much like a Ron Harper or Brian Shaw. However, he's not exactly the picture of good health and it's a little scary to go into a season with only him and d-fish as your two primary PGs. If we could find a way to secure another younger PG to go with him (and potentially get them to split the exemption), I would get behind that.

If Drew Gooden got the full MLE, there is no way in hell Mike Miller will sign for 3 million dollars. I don't get why you keep acting as if this is a possibility.

I think it's still possible because he wants to play for a winner.

NO OTHER WINNING TEAM will pay him MLE.

So if you want me to stop discussing this [possibility] then please suggest to me one winning team that will sign him for 5.5 mill.

Please don't say Orlando (not happening) or Boston (not happening).

The only teams that MIGHT offer him over 4 mill will be Miami or Chicago if they have extra money to spend. But Mike Miler will not get full MLE (which is like 6 mill per--some people who are saying he'll get this don't even know how much it is)

If Miller wants to win and is willing to accept about 3 million he can have his pick of Boston and the Lakers.

Depending on how free agency unfolds, if Miller wants full MLE he'll have to go to a really bad team (not likely) or a middle of the pack team (also not likely IMO).

So he goes to Chicago or Miami first if they still have money (and that's a big if) or he signs with th Lakers or Boston for roughly 3 mill.

I'm curious though. To all who feel like Miller won't take 3 mill (and that's most of you dudes), where do you think he'll end up? What winning team will give him full MLE (like most of ou suggest)? Or does Miller simply forsake winning for another big contract?

I have no idea where he'll end up, but I have a hard time believing he won't get at least $5 million from someone in light of some of the deals already being handed out.

Guys always talk about winning, but when it comes down to signing on the dotted line, money is almost always the biggest factor. If it wasn't, we'd have guys lining up to sign with us.

And not everybody with space is going to be able to cash in on the free agent bonanza. Multiple teams are going to be left over with cash to burn, and he's still a damn good player. As such, I simply can't imagine us getting him at such a discount.

Heat, Knicks, Bulls and Nets can still offer MLE once they sign 2 stars and the shooters will be the highest priority once a star wing and a post player are signed.

Jfar, dude that ^ is so wrong you should probably not post again until you re-read Larry Coons CBA FAQ.

MLE doesn't work like that.

Stated a little harshly, but yeah, that is the truth. Only teams which are over the cap before the free agency period begins are able to utilize the MLE. There can't be teams that sign players with cap space, bringing them over the salary cap, then use the MLE.

I think the Lakers should go after JJ Reddick. I would have no problem if they keep Fisher and let Farmar and Shannon Brown go. Reddick is going to get paid a lot of money this summer. Great role player and he can shoot the lights out.

He fills the Steve Kerr / John Paxon role in the triangle.

Crazy, keep hope man, no one knows shi*, all rumor and innuendo. Enjoy the ride, this is going to the most exciting off season ever in the NBA, as far as us, we'll be better next year I promise. We lost Farmar and Shannon right, no big woop, good things are a comin'.

Think about all the other 29 teams all wrapped up in uncertainty, we only need a few pieces to be complete, piece of cake, trust me. ;).

Soon you'll be saying Lakers 2010-2011 ? Championship!

What if everyone except bosh and a few MLE's stays put? That would be boring imo.
