What player would basically commit to a team without the team fully committing to you.
What if you left an interview saying "Hey I'll take this job if you want it" and they respond "OK, well we really like you were just going to talk to another canidate that we like a little more and make sure we can't get them, then we'll get back to you"
I guess it could be plausible if they made it clear "Hey Booz, we love you. You are our number 1 choice at PF over Bosh and Amare and Lee. But our offseason number 1 choice is LeBron. I'm sure you can understand that. We have a pretty big meeting with him tomorrow, and we've gotten signals from his camp that he's really open to playing with you, as I'm sure you've spoken to him about it before. We just need to have our sitdown with him and get his ok, and once we do that, you're our man. Is that cool with you?"
I'm sure Boozer has to understand that the Bulls have to at least interview the other players and see what their options are. It's not like there are teams chasing after Boozer as their #1 option out there. So I'm sure he'd understand the process.
